List of things that desperately need a change/rework by December 8th

Progression system:

This doesn’t need much explaining because it’s the most controversial and spoken topic at the moment. Progression needs a full rework.

Playlist variety:

For some reason every slayer and objective mode is packed into a single “Quickplay” playlist instead of letting you search between them but we’re also missing some staple modes, I have no idea why these modes in particular are missing from the game:

FFA

SWAT

Team snipers

I somewhat understand griffball and infection because maps and forge isn’t out yet but the modes I listed only require couple of setting tweaks to make them playable.

Ranked:

The ranking system is currently broken, you can only rank up no matter how many games you lose and can’t lose any points making it impossible to de-rank. This allows any player to get to Onyx without ever de-ranking which ruins the competition creating frustrating inflated games, good players don’t want to play against/with less skilled players and less skilled players don’t want to get obliterated by better players. If this system was made by design then 343 needs to understand that ranked isn’t suppose to be a safe space for everybody to get a shiny rank, even if that’s what they wanted it literally does the opposite and makes the experience unpayable.

Optimization

The game is very unoptimized and performance is inconsistent between GPUs. With an i7 10700k CPU and a 3070 ti I only get 90 fps in BTB at 1440p with an average of 120 fps in 4v4, this isn’t an issue with the game being demanding because I’ve seen people getting 200 fps specifically on a 2080 playing at 1440p, no matter how much more powerful your GPU is the results seem random, for whatever reason a 2080 performs better than a 3090 and this shouldn’t be the case considering the game runs smoothly at 120 fps on a series x.

They also need to give us a option to turn of crossplay on public games , it’s allowed for rank do the same for publics. Let pc players stick to their own pc lobby and controllers stick to their own lobby.

To add to the list, Single CTF and the map it’s played on is very unbalanced. The attacking side can fling to the defending side and it’s okay until they steal the flag and get it half way around the other side with a warthog or mongoose and the defending team has zero chance of saving it past that point.

The menus. All of it

I hate to say it, but I feel the majority of this s game in its current state needs to be adjusted. Yes, the graphics are nice, and the gameplay is fun, but it is only surface-level gratification.

Where’s the new and exciting playlist? Halo 5 had a warzone. Halo odst had firefight. What makes halo infinite multiplayer new and exciting (besides being new).

Where is the EXP progression?

Where are the weapons? I believe every game had more weapons than infinite. And they were much easier to use.

I just don’t understand how this is the game we have been waiting for. For me personally, the state of the game currently is equivalent to a first reveal beta. Few weapons, few playlists, and only challenges to contribute to the battle pass. There has to be more than this, right?

You don’t lose rank if you paly adequately for your level. Play worse and you will derank.

The code, the programming! The numbers mason?! What do they mean!

They’re in the walls

That’s the issue, your performance should affect only your MMR, winning and losing should always result in gaining or losing points like any other competitive game, how much you win or lose should depend on your MMR
