List of needed improvements

Here is a list of things that need to be improved in halo 4. Please add to this list if you feel something need fixed and if majority of the people agree with you. Please dont troll! Don’t give your opinion if your not a halo veteran.

I will add more to this list, so feel free to make suggestions.

100% agree!

This is a terrible attitude to have, and one that caused me to stop reading your post. I should also point out that you’ve confused the concepts of “need” and “want”.

I agree with the Op because you shouldn’t give your opinion if you only started playing halo when reach came out.

True, but even though he did have a terrible opening I did agree with most of the stuff he said.

First of all, since you’re no doubt going to equate my defence of non-veterans with an admission of being one: I’ve been playing Halo since 2001, when the very first game was released.

Secondly, I have no idea why you chose to send me a private message stating that “Your KD is bad.” Assuming that “KD” means “kill/death ratio”, I fail to see how you could know my kill/death ratio at all; the account that I use to post on this forum is not linked to an Xbox Live gamertag.

It makes sense now; apparently, you’re an idiot. I can, if you like, post a screenshot of my monitor with your message on there. It’s up to you, of course.

Stop trolling :frowning:

So basically your saying “make this almost exactly like halo 3”… no thanks.

Keep going; I enjoy the irony of your posts. I would also be lying if I said that I wasn’t hoping for a monitor to show up. I’m sure I can stall for a while longer.

Come on mate, seriously? People wonder why these forums have a bad name.

Lock it down, both of you.

Stay on topic.

I agree with your list.

And you should change…

> Don’t give your opinion if your not a halo veteran.

“Don’t give your opinion if you started your Halo career with Halo: Reach.”

I Love that quote!

OT: Seems like you just want Halo 3.5

Listen to thee. Oh and do I know you?

AHEM

Highlighted are the ones I do not agree with.
Let me explain.

  1. Jetpack ruined map control heavily, I don’t think it should even exist any more.

  2. I think in Halo 3 they were fine.

  3. No, those flips might be annoying, but it does take a certain amount of skill to spin like that.

  4. Armor Lock was something nobody wanted or wants. I think it should drop of the face of Halo.

Now, for the red highlight.

I like the 1-50 system, (Preferably the Halo 2 one) but I think we need a new, more skill based idea.

I actually have a thread about this, here.

I was going to tell you which things I agreed with and disagreed with, but after reading, I agree with you one every point you made, OP.

Everyone started as a noob at somepoint. Don’t just discount players because of their tenure or lack there of.

  1. Sure, why not. I wouldn’t mind them being tuned to work as equipment, though (pick up and use at any time).

  2. Keep it as an option for customs. Some people like it.

  3. Remove or turn into a “jump booster”.

  4. I agree mostly, but I wouldn’t mind keeping things like the focus rifle and concussion rifle.

  5. Yes

  6. The only difference between Halo Reach and Halo 3 is blast radius. Grenades are fine. Believe it or not, you are supposed to take major damage when an explosive goes off.

7-8. Sure, why not.

  1. There’s a lot wrong with your assumption of the nature of Halo canon, but I won’t go into that. The BR will likely return as the utility weapon. However, it should not return in the form of it’s Halo 2 and 3 predicessors. It needs to be a mid range rifle, not an all powerful utility weapon.

  2. How is it too powerful? It’s no different from any other Halo game (other than the turret).

  3. Again, no. It’s not that powerful, the shots move so much slower than a rocket, and they have a much smaller blast radius. It’s just fine.

  4. Skill based rating, sure. 1-50? Hell no. And if a skill rating system returns, it should not be linked to the global rank.

  5. There are already algorithms in place to do this, but yes, they do need improvement.
