List of Major Problems in the MCC

Here it goes:
-Cant connect to parties
-Constantly get booted from parties
-CANT PROMOTE A DIFFERENT PARTY LEADER-
-CANT BACK OUT OF MATCHMAKING WITHOUT DISBANDING THE PARTY
-Randomly connect to others pregame party, not anyone on my friends list
-Games immediately end when you finally find a game
-Party gets split up in Matchmaking-
-3v3 turns into 2v4 when game starts, or 4v4 turns into 5v3 when game starts
-In game chat will randomly mute players in pregame lobby and in game when in custom games
-Game constantly freezes in the loading screen after a game has ended
-Sometimes when a game starts the notification for “Connecting to Game” doest not go away and makes a constant beeping sound
-Sometimes when you change settings in the middle of the game the menu freezes and does not allow you to back out of the menu
-Halo 3s audio is completely jacked, anytime something happens the sound comes from 3 different directions
-Spawns in Halo 2 are completely random at the beginning of games, spawning some of you alongside the other team
-Sometimes when you search in Matchmakng your roster stays up where the player queue is
-Sometimes when a map is voted the game that actually loads is another gametype the was on the voting list
-Main menu music is incredibly loud and there is no audio or music options to turn it off or down
-No option to bring party when joining someone elses lobby

This game is completely broken and is incredibly unfortunate. The list goes on for the massive problems that need to be fixed ASAP. How the game was launched like this is one of the great mysteries of the world. How could they possibly have not know this game was filled with a cancer of problems? Theres absolutely no possible way they were not aware of the game issues and certainly the Matchmaking issues. The servers and Matchmaking came online a week ago and had all the same issues as it does now. 343s own pro team streamed and played this game. I witnessed them search for an hour straight without finding a game and when they finally did get a game it was 1v4. Was this not communicated to, i dont know, everyone when they went to work the next day?

Im not sure why 343 had to try to be innovative when it came to the Matchmaking. Why couldnt they have just left it and designed it like it had been for the last 10 years when it actually worked. IF ITS NOT BROKE DO NOT FIX IT. This has been, and will continue to be 343s biggest problem. Trying to be innovative instead of leaving things that actually work the way they are.

As a hardcore, die hard fan of the Halo series i am beyond words with my frustration with this release. Completely unacceptable.

P.S. I also posted this in the main Matchmaking support thread but want to make sure it gets seen.

One main problem also is the “input-lag” or “sluggishness” when it comes to the MCC’s online co-op campaigns. It’s so bad that you have to consider the online co-op campaigns “unplayable” at the moment, and therefore completely broken.

I wouldnt necessarily call this an issue, or at least a major one. All Halo games since Halo 3 have had this, it all depends on the hosts connection. Input lag unfortunately is something we just have to deal with. I played earlier on Halo CE with my buddy, the bullet lag and input lag were noticeable but playable. His internet connection is pretty sub-par as well. But i do understand how it can be annoying.

> internet connection is pretty sub-par as well. But i do understand how it can be annoying.

Let me start with this: This “input lag” does not feel like the normal lag which one experiences if one of the participants in the game has a weak/slow/bad internet connection. The normal lag manifests itself in the character “teleporting” around on the map, but this “input lag” I am talking about is completely different.

I do not have had this issue in any other Halo co-op campaign outside the MCC except Halo CE: Anniversary (360). And even in Halo CEA (360) it was not that massive.

So to get this straight:

  • I have never experienced such an “input lag” in any multiplayer PC game I am playing. (Although of course “normal lag” if other players had a bad connection.)

  • I have never experienced such an “input lag” in Halo 3 (360) multiplayer. (Although of course “normal lag” if other players had a bad connection.)

  • I have never experienced such an “input lag” in Halo Reach (360) multiplayer. (Although of course “normal lag” if other players had a bad connection.)

  • I have never experienced such an “input lag” in Halo 4 multiplayer (360). (Although of course “normal lag” if other players had a bad connection.)

  • I have never experienced such an “input lag” in Halo 3 online co-op campaign (360). (Although of course “normal lag” if other players had a bad connection.)

  • I have never experienced such an “input lag” in Halo Reach online co-op campaign (360). (Although of course “normal lag” if other players had a bad connection.)

  • I have never experienced such an “input lag” in Halo 3 online co-op campaign (360). (Although of course “normal lag” if other players had a bad connection.)

  • I have never experienced such an “input lag” in Halo 4 online co-op campaign (360). (Although of course “normal lag” if other players had a bad connection.)

  • I have never experienced such an “input lag” in Destiny (XBOX ONE). (Although of course “normal lag” if other players had a bad connection.)

  • I have experienced such an “input lag” in Halo CEA online co-op campaign (360).

  • I have massively experienced such an “input lag” in MCC’s Halo 4 online co-op campaign (XBOX ONE).
<div>So no, out of experience with all existing Halo titles, with consoles and PC, with different games on XBOX 360 and on XBOX ONE, I can tell you this:

This massive input lag in MCCs Halo 4 co-op campaign is nothing that I have experienced with the old Halo games or on any platform before.

So I believe it is safe to say that there must be some problem with the netcode/software and I expect this to be fixed asap.</div><div></div>

My game tends to freeze every time I exit to menu from a SP game.

This was a little overboard with the response…

Your experiences may differ, but myself and every singe person i have ever played with in online co-op have experienced “input lag”. The games have been Halo 3, Halo 3:ODST, Halo Reach and Halo 4. While it seems quite a lot of people are reporting an issue with the “lag” in co-op, what i experienced wasnt anything different or worse then every other Halo i listed.

Having said that its not as if i wish they wouldnt fix that as well.

I just wanted to make sure to deliver you a comprehensive list of my experiences to make clear that for some of us (!) this is completely different from what has been existing before and so much worse.

You say that the input lag issue also existed in “Halo 3, Halo 3:ODST, Halo Reach and Halo 4”.

I also played all those games, and if there was “input lag”, then it was so little (to me) that I did not even notice it.

Now in the MCC co-op campaign, the input lag (for me!) is so massive, that I can’t even play the game correctly!

Ill just repost this because I literally just posted it in another thread

> Ive been researching it, and apparently the input delay that was in halo CEA Co-op for the 360 is back in almost ALL of the halo games for the MCC.
> THIS. HAS. TO. BE. FIXED.
> This is NOT a connection issue. this is an issue with the GAME. It was ignored on the 360, And i refuse the be silent about it this time. the ONE thing ive been waiting for these last few years is a chance to play halo 2 again, if they botched the co-op like they have everything else im calling it quits with this franchise. this issue made halo CEA UNPLAYABLE on the 360, the one thing i wanted was to be able to play this with friends online

This is a REAL issue, and it WAS ignored on the 360 version of anniversary. They blamed our connections, even when people did it over LAN with the exact same results. Its a visible 1-2 second input delay if you aren’t host. Its not typical lag where things just start warping everywhere, or you die without ever having a chance to even see what hit you, everything moves as it should, no warping or anything, you are just delayed.
