Overall, I find the Domination gametype fun, but the game clearly needs work. Here is my current list of feedback.
Controls do not snap quickly, and are inaccurate, especially when trying to build, or research. - Warthogs are unable to pickup resources. That was one of the things that people actually battled for in Halo Wars 1. I’d bring that back. - Switch the quick map scroll back to the left trigger, and put commander powers on left bumper. The more used ability should be on the trigger, and thats clearly quick map scroll. - You cannot use the directional pad quick abilities with a radial menu up. Pressing the directional pad buttons should cancel this, and take you to those actions. So many times iv’e had to cancel the radial menu when I got a voice prompt for being attacked. - Field Of View needs to be further away, its way too zoomed in. I hope thats just a lock for beta. If you need to give people the option to lower graphic resolutions for this, then do that. - Clicking on units to attack feels sloppy, and the pathing is off when doing so. Especially when trying to attack specific forerunners at the domination points. - No clear progress prompts for buildings, bases, or etc being built. - Not a clear indication of where you are being attacked upon hearing the voice prompt. - It would be nice is there was a game mode where you could control your team mates units(Old Starcraft thing). However, I could see how some people wouldnt like it.
Yeah as an RTS gamer i agree with all of your points. Especially the camera. The camera is awful. Way too zoomed in and the angle is bad too. Needs to be adressed.
Indication for interaction needs to be added. Example. I order my unit to collect crates or capture a victory point and it shows an arrow for an example when i press the order button. Right now there is nothing shown when you order your units to interact and target. - Projectiles needs to be bigger and more obvious for a couple of units. I should not have to really look to see who my Grunts for an example is attacking, i should see that without having to really pay attention and that is how every RTS game is like. Easy seen projectiles. - The automatic collect mechanic is a nice touch but its range is too small. It needs to be increased.There is A LOT of polishing needed both graphic wise and gameplay wise and optimization needs improvements as well. Of course that will be fixed in the final product. The gameplay feels the most sloppiest out of all the 50 or so RTS games i have ever played, i hope that feeling is fixed in the final product. It does not feel good at all. Right now i am too tired to remember more things that needs to be adressed but if i do remember i will update this list.
I don’t remember what Up on the D-pad used to be, but I keep pushing it and accidentally moving my Global Rally Point.
Customizable controls would be swell.

They need to fix the Flare on the mini map. It is way to small, makes no sound, and is not noticeable at all unless you are looking for it before hand.
