The ranking system is total garbage. I was top of the team in SWAT for most of my 10 games, but there’s no way in hell I should have deserved to qualify into Onyx. I’m repeatedly bottom of the team now with maybe a miserable 5-6 kills. Everyone else is getting flick headshots the moment they see me. I’m nowhere near that level. I haven’t played a Halo games multiplayer in years and I’m terrible. And of course they removed getting demoted, so I’m screwed. I can’t play SWAT anymore because I’m stuck in Onyx.
Another issue is the spawning. Constantly spawning on top of my dead body or right in front of 3 enemies staring at me. Instant spawn death has been about 75% of my deaths so far.
And finally, dear god all the maps are completely dreadful. Regret is literally the worst piece of trash I’ve ever seen in a video game. And there’s maybe a total of 3 SWAT maps. I’ve literally been stuck on Regret and the 2 forge-ish maps. Haven’t gotten to see a single other map. Voting would be a lovely addition.
Breakout has its own playlist but also is a possible gametype in Team Arena… the difference between Breakout and Slayer imo is about as big as the difference between SWAT and Slayer- quite a letdown for me.

Exactly, we need that. I can only view friends and recents

> For MP, the real reason is no voting. For campaign, personally I like to run the campaigns on Normal to get the story, then legendary to get collectibles, achievements etc., but the campaign missions feel real short, even Blue Teams, which upset me a bit. I really love the story though and am having a lot of fun in the campaign.
I know where your coming from on this. some of the missions where very short and could have been longer to capture more of the story in detail. besides that the story was awesome just got to find more of the Intel to get more details i guess.

> They really need to disable friendly fire in Warzone… I can’t stand when nooby teammates always mistake me for an enemy. It’s happening too often.
I was playing a few games of warzone last night (australian servers) and we got whipped bad. The opposition seemed to get the tank within a couple of minutes. There was a couple of guys on my team that every couple of minutes forgot what colour they were and kept asking each other.
I am not really a fan of unlocking “cosmetics” in req packs…I am enjoying the game; I’ve also beaten today. The ending is similar to Halo 2 unfinished business…and I’m guessing the old release commercials take place sometime in the beginning of halo 6??? I am also not a fan of how you pick the colors for the emblems it SUCKS tbh. love the combat though…The game has a lot to offer but most of it is unlocked through req packs. The armor is okey…But once again the req packs I don’t mind but could definitely do without. The armor sets are once again OKAY.…But the customization is very limited it seems as though 343i is going for full suits of armor only? I am not a big fan of mixing and matching my TWO pieces of armor. I would hate to be the guy bringing up halo reach but…reach did have some pretty cool armor variants such as the flaming skull etc…I am hoping that there is a lot to offer in the upcoming supposedly “free” dlc that has been rumored. I like the new spartan abilities the freedom of movement etc…But I was wondering if the flood could make a return I am kind of stoked to see how the spartan charge would work on a flood character lol. I also miss btb like everyone else…Warzone is cool but it gets old kind of quick to me…The only plus is getting points for req packs faster than arena. Besides that it’s a wonderful game great job…lol Looking forward to Halo 6.
The game is NOT AT ALL as it was advertised as the whole hunting down Chief theme they pushed so hard is a minimal and basically irrelevant to the plot - I buy Halo to play as the Master Chief, I’ve been invested in HIS story since I was 10 years old and all 343 gives me is THREE damnable missions that do NOTHING to advance the Chief’s story! Absolute crap!! I wanted to know what Chief losing his “conscience” (Cortana) would do to him. Would losing that voice in his head make him Darker? Would he be less inclined to save lives if it put the mission in jeopardy? Would he be less likely to obey orders? Would he become angry and thirst for battle? I don’t know because they didn’t use the Chief at all. The end of Halo 4 made the Chief, for the first time in the series, FEEL human and they didn’t expand upon that theme at all. Apparently losing his closest friend and constant companion didn’t affect him in any way. I know it’s irrational to feel so strongly about something like a video game character but I am absolutely pissed. I feel cheated by 343, they took my favorite video game hero and -Yoink- all over him. I mean not only did they relegate him to the sidelines, they went so far as to make THE MASTER -Yoinking!- CHIEF a damsel in distress for the final mission. It was absolutely insulting. - Locke is a terrible character. He’s got no personality, there was absolutely no character development, his dialogue was crap. I mean what are his motivations? Why did he stop being an ONI agent to become a Spartan, why was he chosen to hunt down the Chief, How does he feel about hunting down humanity’s greatest hero? I understand 343 wants to make its mark with a hero of their own and I’m fine with that. But I’m not cool with them abandoning the real hero of the series in favor of him. I figured we’d be SPLITTING time between Chief and Locke which is a concept I was actually a little excited about. But instead 343 shoved Locke and his one dimensional -Yoink- down our throats for 80% of the campaign and in all that time he didn’t grow as a character at all. The least they could have done was made him interesting. - During the build up to release a lot of people were worried that Chief would be relegated to the sidelines in favor of Locke. In response 343 PROMISED multiple times that wouldn’t be the case. THAT WAS A LIE! And I’m particularly annoyed by this because I wouldn’t have bought the game (let alone the special edition console) had I known I wouldn’t be the Chief. Like I said before I play Halo for the Chief’s story. I would’ve waited a couple weeks and bought a different bundle and fallout 4 instead. So them lying directly influenced an over 500 dollar decision on my part. - Apparently the extended universe is required for a full understanding of the story which is B.S. Any numbered title in any series should only require prior knowledge of the other numbered titles. It’s unreasonable to assume that everyone playing knows what happened in the comics or whatever else the extended universe story is in. 343 in this respect has shown no regard for casual’s like myself who don’t have the desire to dive into the extended lore. I shouldn’t have to read a book to know what’s going on in my video game. - THE WORST STORY IN A HALO GAME EVER. PERIOD. First off, this story doesn’t at all feel like a sequel to Halo 4. The characters and themes introduced in 4 aren’t utilized in any meaningful way and aren’t developed at all. What happened after the New Phoenix event? WHERE THE -Yoink- HAS THE DIDACT GONE? How did the loss of Cortana affect Chief? Second, 343 crammed a bunch of the extended universe in without explaining any of it making the story utterly disjointed and confusing. Third, there is no analysis of any character’s motivations at all. fourth, its waaaay too short. - The use of Cortana in this game is deplorable. I don’t like that they’ve made her the main antagonist for starters but that is the least of my problems, I could’ve gotten on board with that if it was done well, but alas, it wasn’t. What bothers me most is that 343 have turned her into a ruthless, egomaniacle despot willing to destroy entire civilizations if they won’t bend to her will. And whats worse is that they’ve made her utterly irredeemable. She’s already killed an unknown but tremendous number of innocent people so there is no coming back for her. Because of the way they’ve written her the only way to end her story is to kill her. So not only have they ruined one of my favorite characters… eventually they’re going to make me kill her and I don’t want to do that. - They kill Jul 'Mdama basically immediately and don’t even let us take part in it, it’s done in a cut scene. I was really looking forward to giving him his comeuppance personally, now that’ll never happen. - way too many mongooses in Req packs, it’s more than a bit ridiculous. - The repeated use of the Warden grew tiresome. Also his use in the big “boss battle” at the end was pretty poorly done. He didn’t even have a new attack, all they did was multiply him which is just lazy. It felt like a re-hash of the brute fight at the end of Halo 2. - NO SPLIT SCREEN! playing Halo co-op with my little brother has been one of the great joys in our relationship through the years. We’ve beaten every halo game together on Legendary sitting side by side wrecking all comers and that being gone is a huge bummer. - Companion AI is terrible. whether it be running into my line of fire, inability to shoot at the target I designate if there is even a single enemy in between them and the target, or their penchant for suicide runs towards down team mates their A.I is just awful.
All that said though I should comment on how much I enjoy the actual gameplay. I give that a 8.5/10 but the story gets a 2/10. It’s a shame the story is such crap because if it was even mediocre Halo 5 would’ve been a great game to me. Instead I walk away from it angry, frustrated, disappointed, and fearful of how 343 will disrespect the Chief in the future.
One definite problem is the lack of server quality. Every other game i seem to get a massive amount of server lag when others it runs crystal clear. I know the game just came out, but yeah.

The whole point of equipping armor is to brag about what you have. So I am right with you.
