Linking Steam account on 2 different applications

So today I decided to sign up to the Halo Insider program to get early access to Halo MCC on PC. I went through everything like normal and linked my Steam account and applied. Done. Soon after I got the bright idea to recover my old Xbox account (that I used to play Halo 3 on back in 2008 [the account I am posting this on is a fairly new account made in like 2015… was never meant to be used for Xbox Live]). After I had recovered my old account from my Halo glory days I decided to sign up for Halo Insider again (because I wanted to play the MCC on my old Xbox account, not this new one) and then I linked the same Steam account again.

Will this cause any issues? Should I unlink the Steam account on one of these Xbox/Insider accounts?

If you only plan on using one of those accounts for playing during the program then I would opt out of the program on the other tag so it’s not considered for flighting.

I plan on playing the MCC on my old (recovered) account but I can play the beta on my other account too no problem. What I am worried about is, if I am accepted into the beta on one of these accounts, will it bind the beta to that specific Microsoft account? Or will I just get a Steam key to enter into Steam and then get the choice to log in to any Microsoft account when I launch it from Steam for the first time?

I am bad at explaining… too you understand what I am trying to say?

I’m not sure how that part of it works to be honest, but as I said you should pick one account to use and stick with that. Having 2 accounts could potentially push someone else out of a spot

Okay. Guess that’s what I’ll do. Thanks!
