Patch notes for the Infinity’s Armory update included:
Added Line of Sight toggle option for use in custom games, such as OctagonI’ve looked both in custom game options on all game modes, and the in-game pause menu to figure out what this option is and what it means and haven’t found anything.
Anyone have any idea what it is? I’m just curious what it does.
I was wondering what that was too. Line of Sight would have to do with the angle at which you can see your enemy, but in a game like Octagon there are 360 degress of no cover. So, maybe it’s how you spawn where you don’t spawn in the line someone is looking.
Octagon is a map where everyone is on a platform that is shaped like an Octagon, and everyone spawns at the corners and fight in the middle.
The problem is, because it’s a small map, it’s really hard to spawn because there is a high chance someone is looking at one of the 8 spawn points, preventing you from spawning there.
Line of Sight toggle prevents that, allowing a person to spawn in whether someone is looking there or not.
Ahhh okay, that makes a lot of sense and is actually really useful. That’d fix some issues I’d have with some of my own custom maps.
Understanding what it is now I was able to find it in the custom game options.
It’s under: Respawn / Visibility Check
I kept looking for something named “line of sight” so I kept glossing right over it.
