This theory is going to sound completely stupid and I wont blame you if you think so as well but every Spartan on both sides looks like they are about to fire on the other team apart from Linda, also none of Locks team have a sniper on them despite one of the likely candidates for his team being Romeo who is skilled in said weapon.
In the Hunt the Truth trailer we see a Sniper rifle fire a bullet towards Chiefs helmet and before it hits the word traitor can be seen, what if Chief isn’t the traitor what if it was Linda that fired the shot.
As mentioned above this is a stupid theory and after reading all the books (apart from new blood) I cant think of a single reason why Linda might betray chief.
Sorry to all the Linda fans if this starts an argument or something (For the record I am a Linda fan as well).
Sorry, I don’t think this is the case. On Locke’s team, neither Locke or the red Spartan are aiming toward Blue Team (I think it looks like Locke’s team is retreating, but I digress). In fact, it looks like only Kelly and Fred are actively aiming at anyone – even Chief, the ODST, and the gray Spartan seem to be just generically holding their weapons, not aiming them.
My friend brought that up on skype as a joke. It could be possible. But, HIGHLY unlikely.
John would likely get a triple assist with Fred and kelly pulling off double kill. Linda is saving her ammo. We all know she could headshot everything as she’s that good. Tehehehe
Uh why would they be aiming at each other? They’re not in the same place. Locke and his team are clearly on Sanghelios while Blue Team is somewhere else.

From this We see that they are on the planet seen in chief and Locke’s trailers. The city is in the corner.

The pic of the place Blue Team is in and the city part seem to be completely separate. Either way, even if they are on the same planet they’re not in the same location, which is evident by the background in the pics for both teams.
So they certainly shouldn’t have their weapons raised to one another when they’re not even near each other.
Or it’s just a picture to make it look and mean nothing else.
They are in different areas, but based on the live action trailers we can only assume that they are hostile towards each other (Symbolism). But I do agree it probably is just to promote the game and show off the main characters, and conserving ammo is something Linda is known to do.
Blue team is moving in 2x2 covered formation. (Haven’t you see Die Hard?)

Never seen Die hard, but unless Linda is trying to one shot something out of the air without aiming like the badass she is, I don’t see how she is covering the rest of Blue.
Unless she is just mid reloading or she’s just posed that way to give us a better look at her armour.
In my opinion the red spartan should be more careful. I mean come on! Never point your gun at anything you do not intend to shoot! Every soldier knows this. And what does this spartan do? She aims at the squad leader!
Linda is showing off the new female body model, that’s all.
