im just a little upset. i bought limited edition because i wanted all specializations, and the unique armor.
but now there is no point in having limited edition, seeing every got codes from Microsoft for every specialization and now everyone got the unique armor.
thanks 343 and Microsoft for having me waste more money to get something a month before.
if you got limited edition then all you got was a map pack-oh wait! halo 4 alone costed $60, the season pass was $25. 60+25=85. so just getting halo 4 and season pass you get everything limited edition has besides a poster and 2 little pamphlets. good to see that those who spend $85 get the same as people who spend $100.
It was never a good idea to pit SE against LE consumers. There could have been so many other offers for LEs so they were happier and SEs could still the play game. Never impede your population with a class system.
We got them a month early, that’s enough for me. Not to mention the early access, all of the bonuses in the package were well worth the extra cash. I have no reason to whine, it was well worth the purchase.
Well you also got
-Bonus in-fiction bonus content expanding the characters and stories of Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn and their connections to Halo 4
-Special Featurette: Bringing Gaming into Reality
-Making of Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn
-Bonus digital content through Xbox LIVE:
-Unique in-game weapon skin for the Assault Rifle
-An exclusive in-game emblem
-Xbox LIVE Avatar prop*
-Xbox LIVE Avatar Spartan IV armor set*
-The Limited Edition also contains the UNSC Infinity Briefing Packet which includes a Spartan armor customization schematic, an introduction to the massive ship UNSC Infinity, and insight into what it means to be one of humanity’s finest warriors: The Spartan IVs.
-And a code to for the 90 minute extended version of forward unto dawn to watch on halo waypoint.
The only thing from the LE that was given out freely was the specializations. And we knew that from the beginning as the LE was touted as having EARLY ACCESS.
No one was given any of the skins that came with the LE, nor the physical items, nor FUD.
Nor was anyone given the mappass for free.
That said, the Halo 4 LE was a total ripoff for 100$. It is more of an 80$ LE.
@the posts above me. The “Bringing Gaming To Reality” has never even been released for us LE buyers yet. Nor was “Making of FUD”

NO, no we don’t. The FuD is a joke, it is a dumb stream and there is NO extra to it. And there is no Special Featurette: Bringing Gaming into Reality, I have a thread about it.
I’m fine with the LE. I don’t have to worry about this code mix up (not that I would have been bothered about being stuck at level 70), I got a cool UNSC Infinity personnel manual and a MJOLNIR requisition form (being a huge Halo nerd I really like those things), I actually got some choices in terms of armor when I started the game up, I got a skin for my favorite weapon, and I got a cool metal case for the game. The only thing I was disappointed about was not getting a physical copy of FUD.

I am one as well. However the items were lackluster. Halsey’s journal was more than Halo 4’s LE ever dared to have. And 100$ was grossly overpriced. 100$ LEs ALWAYS have more than the awful Halo 4 LE.

is that why my brother and his friend which both don’t have limited edition have the other recruit armor and skin for assault rifle? i never said anyone got the map pass for free, but if you buy season pass and $60 its cheaper then LE
Who got the armor?
I actually quite like my Recruit Prime helmet.
What, you want to keep the Specializations for yourself and the rest of the LE users?
Way to stick up for the community.
If they excluded the Specializations for standard users, they’d only be at SR50 and that’s it for them. While the LE users would be able to rank up to SR130, gain tons of armor, perks that give them an advantage to normal users, etc.
This game would be dead by now if the LE users were the only ones to get the Specializations. Quit being selfish.

If the content has been downloaded to a console, everyone on that console has access to it.

Downloads are shared between users on the same console. Anyone playing on an Xbox without the Limited Edition content does not have access to it.
And $60? $60 for the game, $25 for a map pass equals $85. I paid $100 for my Limited edition. 60 is not the same as 15.
today my brother some how got it, then when our friend came over he had it to. they both have the limited edition armor, emblems, and weapon skin

It is available to everyone on the console that has it.
It is that simple. It is the way the system works.

uhm, do you even read what i say? or what 343 even says?
if you got limited edition you could choose from every specialization when you hit 50. if you didn’t get limited edition you only have 2 to choose from, then you unlock another 2 and so on.
learn to read before you post.
OP - In response to your title… EXACTLY!

That is not how it worked.
If you got the standard edition, after maxing the two specialization it came you, you were locked at level 70 and could not level any more.

What isn’t on your Xbox?
