In the bulletin it clearly says that the limited edition is $100 in the US and the Australian doller I think is buying slightly more from the US doller at the moment which would mean that we would get the copy cheaper. But as usual out of nowhere the price is an extra 30 dollars and the limited edition is now classified as the “collectors edition”. As well as this the standard edition is now the price of the collectors edition; $100 which was the price of Reach’s limited edition a few years ago. Greedy retailers. Does anyone know where I can get Halo 4 limited edition for its standard $100 dollar price in Australia? This is just plain rediculous and I’m almost certain it’s like this for most retailers in Australia.
> everything in australia is more expensive then other countires because the money in australia is worth more than other countries money
Yeah but only at the slightest and if it’s an import from America bolt buy the price should only be an extra $10 dollars. They’re being greedy because you can import it from Amazon from America even cheaper I’m pretty sure.
> everything in australia is more expensive then other countires because the money in australia is worth more than other countries money
As it currently stands, the USD and Australian dollar are almost identical in worth ($1 USD = approx. $1.08 AD)
OP is correct, the Australian edition seems to be over priced. OP, I would suggest taking a look around as much as you can (assuming you haven’t). I remember people posting on Bungie that the Halo Reach edition was way overpriced when it was announced, so it may just be a tariff on imported items that’s raising the price. Otherwise, I don’t know.
> I forgot which way makes things more expansive in terms of the worth of a countries dollar, regardless i think you guys have way higher taxes.
Yeah we do, we have one of the highest taxes in the world because our idiodic gorvenment spend all of theirs. But I still don’t understand how it could go up an extra $30 when being from bolt buying.

Yeah I’ll try that, my gut tells me that I’m just going to have to saver up some more money and buy the now ‘rip off’ edition from my local shopping center.

Yeah, sorry, bud. I wish you luck in finding a better deal.
I just checked Australian EBgames site, and it’s listing Halo 4 as $98. Try shopping online. You may get it a little late, but at least it’s the proper price.
If I remember correctly someone in parliament (cant remember his name) is trying to find out why Aussies have to pay double (sometimes triple) then what the rest of the world is.
In the mean time buy Halo 4 off of Ozgameshop.com (their prices are very similar to the US from what I’ve been told). The LE isn’t listed at the moment but keep a look out for when it’s added but when it is it’ll probably be between $90-$100 (free shipping).

That’s fine. Atleast I know I’m not the only one getting ripped off in my country hahahaha… Oh well I’ll still buy it, I just have to.

It’s because our goverment is greedy and excessive with spending. The Prime Minister of Australia I think gets 3-times the income of the President of the US.
Put down my deposit today at EB Games for this version. Our country is a joke in terms of the price we pay for items compared to the US. Shipping costs virtually nothing when you do decent volumes. Australia is just an easy target and it’s no wonder so many import rather than buying domestic.

Tell me about it, they’re practical theives. This is probably why so many retailers went out of buisness last year in the winter season.
I’m going to ask my Eb Games store about this, I have pay $130 for a Limited Edition, while the USA have to pay $99. Supposedly there are goodies with worth in total including the game $150, so i save $20 as opposed to $50?

Yeah I’ll check out game, I might be able to get a better deal then at JB-HI-FI the place I was originally looking at. This is if I don’t preorder online. Grats on your car starting though!

> Now that sucks big time. Did you have it fully paid off?
I’m not sure, sometimes I pay off or deposit trade in games to a pre-order months in advance and forget about. For example, yesterday I only needed to pay an extra $30 towards my Max Payne 3 CE and I’ve totally forgotten how I paid most of that off (actually, I think I may have transferred the money from my Ninja Gaiden 3 CE when I cancelled it on the day of release after hearing the reviews. My CE box is still there on the shelf too!).

Just to save you time you cant pre-order anymore at Game since they went into Administration.
