Limited Edition map access code

After about half a year of not playing any xbox games, I finally decided to play Halo 4 again.
I had been looking at the map packs that got released and remembered entering the codes for the “War Games Map Packs” that came with the ‘Halo 4 Limited Edition’ box at about a day after the release date.

So I went to the Xbox Live Marketplace to download the ‘Crimson’, ‘Majestic’ and ‘Castle’ map packs.
It told me to pay the normal price for it (like 10 bucks or something).

Now, did I misunderstand this thing ‘War Games Map Packs’ code’s premise, or is there something wrong?

I recommend entering the code again to make sure that it has been entered, and looking through the Xbox LIVE Marketplace to see if there is the War Games Map Pass being read as free. If not, try launching Halo 4 and accessing Halo 4 Marketplace content through the menu.

Another way you can try is looking into your previous download/purchase history.

In order to get the map packs for free, you have to download them from in-game. On the main menu, select “Xbox LIVE Marketplace” and download the map packs.

The Halo 4 Limited Edition came with a code for the “Infinity Actual Kit,” which is the War Games Map Pass. If you are unable to download the maps for free from in-game, see if you can redownload the Infinity Actual Kit from your Download History and try again.

I’ll give it a look, then.

Thanks.
