Does anybody have one? I want one so badly but scalpers had it sold out within the same night of them becoming available. Also does anybody know where I might be able to find one without being scammed by some scalper? Or is there a better method to getting one? For people who have actual jobs and want to buy the console for the original price it is absolute ludacris that scalpers are allowed to do this with no legal consequences. Really any input is appreciated if you have any info on the topic.
I didn’t even bother to search for the console because I wasn’t going to treat it like a job. It was hard enough to get the Series X, and I was pretty lucky tbh. Legal consequences? That’s too far. It’s an entertainment product, not food, medical supplies, or water. C’mon

I mean, legal consequences are viable for people who do this as is it against some states’ laws depending on where you reside, but it’s too difficult to enforce unfortunately.

Na I say lock em up lol they are crushing my dreams here. But i am starting to feel the same way about it. It is becoming too much work to find one. But atleast I did find out gamestop is supposedly getting some regular Series X consoles on the 7th. Just a heads up for anybody looking for one.
I was lucky enough to secure one through Gamestops drop. I would highly recommend (even though it’s a hellsite) installing the twitter app on your phone and following and turning notifications on for several dedicated accounts that throw out alerts when console drops are known or when they are happening. Recommend ps5restocks_etc and haloinfinitegi. Both best buy and Amazon both have listing for the consoles but have yet to drop stock (bestbuy is rumored to be dropping some 3 weeks before the console release but that’s very much a rumor).
Oh and just to add, if Gamestop ends up getting more stock I would HIGHLY recommend attempting there. They allow their pro members early access to pre orders and their first drop actually lasted several minutes.
