Does anyone know of any new information for the Halo limited edition Xbox One, because the Halo 5 release date is creeping up and I really wanna lock one in.
I agree with you, I was told by a ‘reliable’ source in 343i that it would be announced in E3, but then he said they pulled out with it the last minute. I’m not sure if he was just lying to me or not. I’d love some more info though.
I need something because I need to know if i should just preorder the collectors edition now or continue to save up for it, because I believe it was already announced correct?
It was ‘announced’ but it wasn’t unveiled yet.

Probably will be revealed at Gamescon in a few months time, that’s where the Master Chief Collection Xbox One was shown but was exclusively available at gamescon last year, of course with halo being one of the most iconic games on xbox as well as gears of was, no doubt they’ll release a halo 5 themed xbox one which will probably be available for pre-order after its unveiling, most likely releasing on the 27th of October as it may contain a standard edition of the game as well, similar to what they did with the Call of Duty Advanced Warfare limited edition xbox one

Why is everyone linking gamescom in multiple threads? I’d rather it be a legit source from 343 than from some random website.

With watching the episodes of “The Sprint” on the Halo Channel, it looked like 343i was only ever going to be presenting a campaign demo and focus on revealing the new game mode Warzone

And the reason why everyone is saying it would be shown at gamescom is cause 343i is going to it to show off more of halo 5 and most likely reveal the Xbox One Halo 5 Limited Edition console.
Last year at Gamscom 343i showed of the halo 2 anniversary map and gameplay of Sanctuary as well as the exclusive Master Chief Collection Xbox One that was only available for purchase from there.
Gamescom is the most likely gaming convention that 343i would be announcing something like this as they have not confirmed that they would be making a presence at Pax, and plus good old Frank O’Connor himself said they would showing more of Halo 5 at Gamescom in an interview at E3, will link it when i find the video
I’m sure there’s going to be one it would be pretty strange if there wasn’t.
Holmes confirmed it on Twitter, but it looks like they changed it to promote Forza. Guess Halo pre-orders are good. Maybe expect one at Gamescom or Comic-Con?

Hmm you got a point there, if it come’s with a physical disk no doubt it would releas on the 27th of October on the release date of halo 5, if it comes with a digital copy then we’ll see it released the same time as the limited collectors edition on the 20th of October to allow pre-installation
They announced the Forza motorsport 6 console (which looks awesome and like a good deal). Just making waiting for the Halo 5 one that much harder…

I hated the sounds, they sound generic and would get annoying real quick.
As much as I enjoy Halo’s sounds and such, I would really hope they didn’t do that to the Halo version.
