I skipped out on getting the limited edition of Halo 4 seeing everything that I actually want from it is mostly dlc, and since usually it will be on the marketplace in the coming months, I can wait instead of putting the extra $40 down on the lmtd edition. Who else is doing this?

If you’re referring to the avatar props, then maybe they will be on XBL as DLC later, but the skins and armor will likely not. Besides, these things are in LE for a reason. Can’t see them putting all this stuff on XBL as DLC at a discount when others payed good money for the LE. I think you maybe SOL.
Limited edition DLC is exclusive to the LE.
Im on my phone, so i cant go look for it easily BUT Frankie did a post on neogaf and David Ellis did a tweet that stated the exclusive armor/skins will remain exclusive for the LE and Console.
And i love them for that<3
All in-game items, avatar stuff from LE game and LE console will be exclusive FOREVER.
It had better not be. I didn’t see Bungie/Microsoft giving the flaming helmets and the Elite Officer armor away in Reach, so I’d hope not to expect Limited Edition stuff being sold to everyone immediately afterward.

This. I can look for the quotes proving this later if no one else posts it. But OP, id get the LE or Console if you want the DLC, otherwise you are SOL
