So I got Halo 4 Limited Edition with a bunch of bonus content.It all works fine for me…but that’s the problem.It only works fine for me.
I got a bunch of things like weapon skins,armour skins,emblems,etc.They all work fine for me,but when my brother joined me for some matchmaking,he didn’t have access to any of it,despite the fact that this is content that was originally downloaded to my Xbox,so therefore it should be licensed to my Xbox and available to anyone playing on my Xbox.
I have not once had this problem with a previous Halo game,all my Reach bonus content like the special Elite armour,Recon helmet is such were all available to others playing on my Xbox.
Is this just a glitch or is this intentional?Me and my brother should not be required to buy two special edition copies for our one Xbox so we can both have access to all the bonus things.It’s bad enough how Assassin’s Creed does it but Halo?All these things were proper Xbox Live redeem codes,not some weird in-game redeem code like Assassin’s Creed,so it should be content on my HDD available to all who play on my Xbox.
Long story short,my bonus content doesn’t work for other people playing on my Xbox,is it intentional or a glitch?
Pretty sure this was intentional. Your brother didn’t buy the collector’s edition, but you did so all of the bonus content belongs to you. Hope this helps.
I have this issue aswell, me and my bro both have our own seperate Gamertags and all that. We bought LE togheter and punched in the codes on my brothers GT since he owns the Xbox, all Digi Download etc. have as far as we know it always been shared between us so we thought it be the same.
He got it all, i got nothing. My brother was furious XD but still the issue is we both paid and expected it to be console licesensed just like all the other stuff on any other game weve been playin so far, so why halo? the best series of games on xbox (in my opinion) which ive longed for for a few years expecting it all to be like the rest have this license to account thingy? Love the game and all in it sofar except this, this is just dumb.
Even the pre-order download bonus we recieved was prohibited to my bros acc, we have asked the shop if we can get an additinonal set of pre order codes atleast. Fingers crossed!

I know how you feel.In the past me and my brother would go halves in games,and he’d redeem all codes and such since he would do all content downloads (It saved having two separate points balances).This time though,I paid for all of Halo 4,and I redeemed the codes,seeing as I’m a bigger Halo fan these days and eventually he’ll move out and life will go on and whatnot.The past few years I’ve been getting my own points and stuff.
It’s not as big a deal as it would’ve been years ago,but it’s still an issue.My brother (and anyone else playing on my console),by Xbox Live licensing rules,should be allowed access to this content and him not being allowed access to content downloaded and licensed to my console is breaking those rules.
Lately Xbox has been pushing the whole “Xbox Live for families” stuff,but when things like this keep happening,it really doesn’t seem like they care about families at all…
The worst thing about all this is that they won’t give us a statement about it.
Like if they think they stay quiet we will dissaper.
They lie in there user restrictions and steal our money so we can’t stay quiet.
Judging by the fact that people signed in as guests can get them im sure its a glitch, or at least an oversight on their behalf.

To a lot of people it does.Let’s say for example,I didn’t outright pay for Halo 4,let’s say me and my brother went halves.We would have both paid and equal amount of money but would not be getting an equal share of the product.How would that be fair in any way?And of course there’s the fact the usage restrictions state everyone on my console should be allowed to use the content.It’s the principle of the matter.They’re breaking the content license.
