I’ve come across an issue that many others have faced as well. I pre-ordered the limited edition of halo 4, but when i entered my codes for both the pre-order bonus armor(from best buy) and the Infinity Actual Kit, the bonus items only show up for the account that entered the codes. Before downloading both items, I had made sure to check the usage restrictions of the content, both stating that these items where a one-time download to a single Xbox, and all accounts on the system would have access to the content. But sadly they are not, all items are exclusive to only the one account.
I’ve tried talking to Xbox live support but they directed me to 343, who does not have an official support besides their forums. I feel pretty mad that I split the cost of this game with my brother, but we both cannot access the content that was clearly defined as being able to be used on all accounts across the console.
I would greatly appreciate help with a resolution to this problem. Why would you make bonus items account exclusive, where as even the pre-order items of halo reach where able to be accessed across all accounts?
OMG I’m in the EXACT position as you man, my little brother is a bit pissed off. When I bought Assassins Creed, they were able to give me the Season pass and Uplay pass for my brother and I and I thought that was good. Halo in the other hand…
If only 343 will do the same! I feel silly that i spent $40 extra for a bigger box and for only one profile to get the extras.
Well the Limited Edition extras are ballz anyways. Just a skin for the default armor, an emblem, and a skin for the Assault Rifle.
The only notable thing is the access to all Specialzations, but if you get to SR50 before Nov. 20, you get access to all of them anyways.
I have it, and I don’t think it’s that special.
Most likely because the way ingame items work
Ingame items affect your gamesaves If you arent loged in on then same console your gamesaves would say items missing
Remeber spartan ops is a campaign
Mostly ingame items forums Most games are mostly locked to account thAT redeemed It anyways with very few exceptions
Mappacks are differrent since they dont afffect your gamesaves or profiles
This is true forgames with campaign dlc likely fable left for dead Most rpgs and few shooters
Sadly they changed their minds this time and only made them available on the account that redeems them.
Which is sad, considering Bungie had no problems with giving all accounts on a system access to the bonus content. Seems a bit greedy to me.
