So today my buddy in NY sends me a txt saying Gamestop declined any more preorders for H4LE. Walmart as well. So I go to gamestop.com and now you cannot order one. Guess I’m out of a launch LE as well. I hate to be that guy who whines about stuff being not fair, but had I known that there was a deadline for it I may have decided to buy a $600 handgun in December instead… lesson learned I guess. Sad that it was going to be next weekend too…payday.
I just never figured that this kind of problem would happen sense H2 through Reach (all) Editions were still on shelves at my local Walmart and Kmart the day after. Think maybe retailers should give fair warnings as to when these things happen?
Some people like myself have preordered the LE since last year, there has been plenty of time to preorder it. Besides soon after release certain stores may sell the LE.
I’ve always been one to pre-order a game in advance, so I was actually surprised to see a Reach LE still available at Walmart earlier this year. Or maybe you’ll get lucky and score a free one at a Gamestop raffle contest like I did for Reach.

Exactly. I can’t for the life of me understand why people don’t pre-order early to avoid disappointment. I’ve always got my Halo from Amazon and I never have to pay a dime towards it until a week before release…

Gamestop only holds a limited amount for pre-orders and will not accept any more above the limit. This is a good thing - it means that so many people want to pre-order the game that they exceeded the their supply. There will be games available at release.
