Limited Customization

I mean all Halo 5 players know how limited the customization is for your armor and even emblems. 343 didn’t even explain why they did that (not that I know of at least). They at least described why split screen was removed and elites (even though that seemed more like a lame excuse) but the fact that customization was brought down was just left without a reason. Someone asked how customization was gonna be and they responded with “Helmet and armor” and people backlashed and it is just like they said “Nope, no customization”. I am pretty much just wondering what their reason could possibly be to limit it this badly.

They’re a bunch of lazy f*cks.

I don’t think it’s that limited for a fps halo game. Remember CE? All you could do was pick a few colors and that was it. It’s cool to want to “look good” I guess, but custimization should be at the bottom of 343s priorities.

The only issue with this is that precious games had such great customization that Halo 5 feels like a great step back. As a game itself it is fine, but when compared to the previous entries it feels lazy.

Noble is fussy again. Diaper change needed.

Depends on how you look at it. Reach let you work for the armor without rng, h4 let you mix and match but didn’t really add anything, and h5 has the largest variety but less mixing and matching and it’s rng. Being how I just don’t care about custimization I don’t mind h5s randomness so it’s current setup doesn’t bother me. So yes, you could say the custimization is a step back but it’s halo, it’s not popular because of customizing your avatar.

CE was the first halo and it was for a first gen console bruh… We now have our 3rd gen and it can’t do what a 2nd gen could :l
Halo 3 set the bar for Armor customization, Reach then raised that bar and every halo after that failed to meet the standards.

It depends on how one looks at it. I never bothered with armor in h3, reach was just ugly imo. Regardless the console generation means nothing, there were plenty of games that had much better custimization in 2001, halo just wasn’t built off it nor was it a focus. The only thing a new gen console beats vs old gen is graphics and being able to perform at a better rate.
