limited-criteria player seeking clan/friends for btb

Hey all! I’m not new to Halo (but that doesn’t mean I’m all that great at playing). I got into Live play when Reach came out. I have limited time to play and 99% of that time is on BTB. I’m sick of getting matched with betrayors, kids (the whinny ones), non-talkers/team players, and morale-killing-resource-steeling-lone-wolfing-trash-talking (insert your favorite explicative here)-holes.

I make friends with those rare cool players I find, but I hardly ever join them later because I don’t know what they’re playing, and BTB is the only game type I really enjoy (for the mere possibility of a game that clicks with great teamwork).

If you belong to a like-minded clan (or just want a like-minded friends list), please let me know. Here’s my full wish list:

**Adults (in the relative sense, since I’m posting this in a video game forum :-)).
**Mic Users and team players.
**Peps that don’t mind a little trash talking (below the mean-spirited tone; so more like friendly hazing) and that don’t mind adult language (sprinkled, not drowned - and the N-word is never cool with me) - This is another reason I want to avoid kids (I can’t stand some of the things I’ve heard from adults saying to kids in match-making).
**A large group so we can always (or usually) find someone on-line without having to negotiate a game time; but I don’t have time to meet some monthly minimum posting required by a lot of the clans I’ve read about.
**A group that doesn’t require I change anything about my profile (armor, gamer-tag, etc.) or require that I purchase map-packs (I can’t justify spending the money on a students budget).
**Players that pledge not to betray, quit early, or automatically boot for accidental betrayals (almost as bad as betraying, especially when it’s followed up by a sincere apology).
**My absolute deal-breaking pet peeves are when I see vehicle or weapon (ie. Banchee & Sniper) spawn camping and “glitch betrayals” (or attacking a teammate to let an enemy finish them off, which I usually witness when a sniper rifle is involved).

About me:
Rank: Brigadier III
Skill: Probably about average for my rank. I usually average about 10-12 kills on Slayer, a bit better on the older maps. I judge my success on 2 criteria: Trying to get at least 13 kills (about my share of 1/8 of 100 kills), and to have a positive K/D.
Strengths: I’m a very good Warthog driver and Ghost handler, above average revenant driver, and I game the Armorlock tweeks well. I also think I make above average use of a rocket launcher, grenade launcher, and needler. I’m also a good communicator, especially when I spot a sniper or vehicle/weapon respawn.
Weaknesses: Sniper (I hate it, you can have it - I only pick it up when I fear it will get stolen); Banchee (see Sniper - when I get the sniper I usually just use it to shoot down the Banchee).
Style: I prefer to flank rather than run up the middle; I’m patient and try to avoid giving away an advantage; I will camp and creep temporarily if I notice an enemy pattern but I don’t hide from the game.

Friend or Message me if you’re interested and think it’s a good fit.
Thanks! Happy Holidays!

I. Basics

Introduction: Hello I am Private Affliction of Alpha Company, Zulu Platoon in the Dropshock Brigade, I’d like to offer you a chance to be in one of the most mature, active and structured Halo Reach clans around. Currently we have more than 50 members from six different countries. Our clan is filled with great members who like to have fun and be competitive. If this clan interests you, please read on:

II. What We Have To Offer

Gaming- Our clan has plenty of clan matches against other clans. We do plenty of matchmaking amongst ourselves, and also have practices throughout the week to improve our gameplay. In these practices, we not only learn new strategies but also improve friendships amongst ourselves.

Professionalism- Our clan acts as respectful and professional as possible at all times. But, not only is our behavior professional, so is our website. Our website was created by scratch from our founder, Vitamin, and he has maintained it ever since. Just glancing at our website will show you just how serious we are, and will accurately express how we handle the clan.

Community- We have members from all over the globe and there will always be someone online. Our members are the reason the Brigade is special. Each of their individual efforts and personalities contribute to the Brigade’s success for the past two years. We have a forum on our website where you can communicate with other personnel off xbox live.

Promotions- Promotions aren’t easy to come by in the Brigade. If you want one, you need to work for it. Throughout your time in the Brigade, you will learn what it truly means to be a leader. You may think that it is just for gaming, but it teaches you lessons in life for the future.

III. Becoming a member

Enlisting: To get into the brigade, you must first register on our website and fill out the Enlistment Form. Make sure to fill everything out and read the page following the form.
This is where you begin your enlistment process which is kind of like a screening where you have to prove to us that you want to be in the clan. After you fill out the enlistment form, you need to stay active on both our website and on xbox live. During this time, you will have to obtain a sponsor, which is someone who looks after you and assists you with any problems or concerns you may have. If you have a sponsor and you have been a Recruit for at least a week, you will be eligible for bootcamp where we test you on your communication skills in the game. Finally, you take an exam that tests you on your knowledge of the Brigade.
