So I preordered the Halo 5: Guardians Limited Collector’s edition, ($250.00 edition), and it comes out October 20th. I already know about the digital copy trade in. However, no matter if you get your hard or use your digital copies, all you can do is download the game so you can play it an hour before everyone else at launch???
I’m…having trouble understanding your question. Are you asking if you get to play the digital copy before midnight? It depends on your time zone. If you’re on the east coast, it activates at 12:01am or if you’re on the west coast it’s 9:01pm.
But if you want to trade it for a physical, you cant activate the digital copy otherwise they wont accept it. And if you prompt for a physical copy, you can play it at any time you receive it in the mail.

Oh, then no. 343i has confirmed several times they are locked until launch just like a standard pre-download title. And the time of activation (in NA anyway) is 12:01am east coast, 11:01pm Central, 10:01pm Mountain and 9:01pm west coast.

I dont think those times are correct, I believe it is 12:01 EST, not 12:01PST… if its 12:01PST a lottttttttttttt of people are going to be pissed.
