My brother had bought the 300$ LCE version of Halo 5 as pre order… He waited for a month to almost two for his pre-ordered armor of which turned out wasn’t restricted to those who pre ordered the game rather it was just a skin of an armor that anyone could attain. He gotten the statue of which he proudly displays in his work office at an accounting firm… but over all he feels cheated and ripped off for buying the LCE version. To him it’s as if he spent money on something that he thought would be significant besides a silly statue. Like maybe an extended campaign or armor or at least something that would separate his copy of the game from the rest. We both remember that in previous Halo titles you would get stuff in pre-orders that no one else got in game… I guess you could say that he feels cheated to an extent and would like to inquire from whom ever it may concern, if he could get a discount on Halo Wars 2, he would like to pre-order the game as well but is hesitant to do so because of what happened to him with Halo 5.
I know it would seem unfair for those who bought Halo 5 as a standard copy but my brother didn’t buy just a standard copy… he bought the LCE at 300$ and was greatly disappointing after launch. Over all he probably doesn’t like Halo 5 because of Microtransactions and the Req system but being an intellect and a guy that works a pretty dry job (at least in my opinion) was dissapointed with the story which nothing can be done about that now. Any how he is just wondering if it was possible that he/myself on his behalf could contact someone and see about working something out.

I don’t doubt that but as a business when a customer is unhappy with something or they have an issue it’s good customer service skills that resolve the issue. Idk if they have a customer service area in the company but if my brother not being to particularly happy he would like to see this issue resolved. I guess in a manner of saying he doesn’t like the quality or the price that he’d paid for such a product. With him being a customer you want him to keep coming back and buying whatever it is that you are selling, so if resolving this issue means a discount in order to keep a customer than so be it.

I doubt they are going to give you anything as there isn’t anything else to give. It’s a little late to get a refund and they aren’t going to open that wormhole of refund for unhappy customers because this forum would keep them busy for weeks.

Well all he is asking is if he can get a discount on pre-ordering Halo Wars 2. I don’t think that, that’s unreasonable.

I doubt they’d budge but I’d recommend he call them. You might not get an answer in these forums.
Kind of why buying these special editions really isn’t worth it lol. They’re targeted at the diehard fans from my point of view as a casual fan won’t put that much money into these things. Most of these editions really only give statues, books,comics, creative art, quick access to items from the get go that others have to play to get etc etc. what exactly are you expecting them to give?

Originally he had thought it was Armor that no one else was getting on top of emblems and maybe a stance or two. Idk it was his first big ticket pre order. He wanted to buy the Reach case back in the day but was in university so he couldn’t afford it. So this was his first time sinking money into something like this.

Personally I think he should’ve gotten the FOTUS Armor and the hunter Skinned Agent Locke Armor but that’s just me.

I was more annoyed that the console didn’t come with a wire for the controller though. I remember making a similar thread. Where the hell is my wire ffs…

I don’t really think 343 really listens to us. If they would just take a peak at waypoint to see our opinions. They would understand a lot more how we actually feel. But I do know they are owned by Microsoft, so they have to follow their agenda for the most part.

Ikr by them trying to make it fair for everyone they made it unfair for those who put the money forward for exclusives. Personally in my opinion those who bought the Counsel and the LCE should all get a discount offered to them for the next up and coming title.
its not fair to those who purposely went out and paid money for exclusive content only for that content to be non exclusive. For that reason people have a right to seek a response or compensation for being screwed over. As a business they have a reputation to uphold if they want to succeed and grow. This LCE shpeel doesn’t reflect good character upon 343.

343 Employees have many times responded. Typically they only respond to civil professional respectable threads. I don’t doubt that they will see this… will they comment on the other hand? Idk…Joshingtonstate may see this? it’s hard to say with 343 they have a tendency to be quite unpredictable when it comes to forums and threads. And I personally tried to be as respectable and polite and reasonable as I can be… (Although I know I’m a bit rusty)
