Likes and Dislikes About the REQ System

I like the REQ system as much as the next guy but come on, there are some things that they shouldn’t have done. Currently I have 5 AR REQs, 6 BR REQs, and 2 -Yoink!- REQs, but I hate how I’m SR30 and I still don’t have the base DMR REQ card, I guess I’ll just keep opening gold and silver REQ packs until I finally unlock it. And I have some problems with the REQ system being incorporated with ALL the customization options, I just wish that they would reserve some of the armor, weapon skins, ext. for achievements and awards like the Master Chief armor set and all the other mythic REQ cards for those things. Does anyone else agree that the REQ system went a little too overboard?

I don’t like it at all. It’s the reason I I only played the first four days after the game launched.
Halo 5 multiplayer is designed for young players, people that have a lot of spare time, they can play 5 hours a day every day, and by doing so they unlock all sort of things.

For me, is stupid to get acces to weapons in a random way. I kept playing the first days and got no DMR at all, just like 80 mongooses.
I’m 35 years old and I don’t have that much spare time (neither I have the will) to spend playing and buying 20 req packs every day. I just want to earn points and be able to go straightforward and purchase a DMR. And I also wanna be able to use it since level 2 -Yoink!- it!

Req system is maddening in my opinion. I won’t preorder Halo 6.

It’s a pathetic attempt in order to artificially inflate play time. I am level 48 and have barely any good unlocks.

Agree with this. It takes ages, and it’s RNG based. Horrible combination.

Getting emblems. I fear the day that i run out of stuff to get and only get emblems. Totally useless.

I’m generally against the ‘loot crate’ style reward system that shooters are doing. It’s a disingenuous ploy to increase playtime and get people to buy packs that ensure better loot. And the premium option is particularly egregious because if I’m spending money I’m spending on a predetermined thing, not the opportunity to have something I may or may not want. I think real life loot crate services are garbage for the same reasons. Reqs, battle packs, whatever they wanna call it just doesn’t hive with me.

And that most of it pertains to one mode is kind of eh.
