3 shots zoomed in seriously? 4 is one thing but 3? OP
can anyone else confirm that it’s 3 shots? i haven’t used it but have been killed a few times by one.
Yes, the light-rifle is a perfect kill in 3 shots. But, it requires 2 shots to the body and 1 directly to the head to get a perfect kill. However, it is perfectly fine where it stands in the sandbox because of its slow rate of fire. OP just because a gun requires less bullets to get the kill does not necessarily mean that it is overpowered, you have to take other factors into consideration just like any FPS (rate of fire, reload time, effective range, etc.).
3 shots (Slower fire rate while zoomed), last one being to the head. Not OP, the Lightrifle is considered a lesser power weapon. It is just fine the way it is, everyone on the map has a chance at picking it up. Stop complaining.
I rarely ever see Lightrifles, although they are quite powerful! It was one of my first weapon certifications, so I love busting them out every now and then!
Yes it is 3 shot… no it is not Overpowered!
The rate of fire is much slower so the time to kill is very similar to that of the BR or Handgun… also you have to hit all three shots… so if you are less skilled than someone with a BR or Magnum than you will lose out a gun fight even if you have the lightrifle.
In fact, the Carbine is 7 shot… but I would say it is more OP than the BR, Magnum, Lightrifle and others as the rate of fire is really high and it is quite accurate at both shorter and longer ranges, where as the Lightrifle is less accurate at shorter ranges.
Anyways, I think it is very well balanced in the grand scheme of things.

If your gonna say the lower amount of shots it takes to kill, the more broken it is, does that mean the sniper rifle is OP too?

In fact every gun is OP because it kills people lets just nerf them all so we can have competitive tickle wars for 10 minutes.
The dying star legendary lightrifle is op, but that’s because its supposed to be. the basic one is fine.

Dude, work on your grammar. Just because we are on the internet doesn’t mean we completely throw our standards out the window.
Light rifle is pretty situational since it’s zoom is a little too strong for many parts of the maps, forcing you to shoot unscoped which takes 4 shots.
It’s balanced and unique.
Snipers kill in 1-2 shots. Is that overpowered as well?

This is what annoys me. People said it was UP in halo 4 and wanted a buff.
Now that it got buffed people want it nerfed and say it is OP.
The light rifle is perfect where it is at! It is a forerunner weapon. It should be more powerful
