Light Rifle = Max Death

According to all the info I have read, the single shot rifles break down something like this in the kill shot department.

BR: 5
DMR: 5
CARBINE: 7
LIGHT RIFLE: 5
LIGHT RIFLE (SCOPED): 4

Can anyone verify these numbers? If this is true, why would anyone use anything other than the Light Rifle? I am having a hard time wrapping my head around this idea.

I think it’s because it fires slightly slower than the dmr and br. Also less aim assist.

Carbine is 7? wow, well I guess its fine since its rate of fire is pretty fast

anyway I am never gonna use the light rifle apart from campaign anyway

Binary rifle: 1

That too. Don’t forget that.

And yes OP, your numbers are correct, though the Light rifle (scoped) may have changed since its recent demo. It could be a 5sk now.

Scoped Light Rifle kills in 4 shots.

Otherwise it’s 5

BR: 5

DMR: 5

Carbine: Not sure but i think it’s seven.

I find the LR to be…odd. There are moments where being scoped in is just not going to cut it despite the four shot kill. I mean its like going scoped with another utility rifle at closer ranges. Problem is the LR doesn’t have the fast ROF up close from what i’ve seen. You can’t tell me it’s viable on a competitive level to be scoped in all the time and with the flinch throwing off your aim AND dropping shots your self…this gun is going to take some practice to use. It’s interesting but odd because it’s function as a gun is something we haven’t had in the MP sandbox.

The Carbine? Not sure about it since the nerf. I’ll need to play the game to get a sense of where it stands. Fast ROF though.

The Battle Rifle has ease of access going for it with burst flinging and more aim assist. Plus it can bleedthrough on weaker shields with the first or second shots and kill on the third.

The DMR is the harder gun to use when compared to the BR. You don’t want to drop shots with it but otherwise, it will be deadly in the right hands of a skilled player. Less aim assist though.

I wasn’t aware of the “more or less” aim assist. I’ve been slacking on finding detailed info. I guess that the LR would be a little more balanced if it was harder to use despite the fact that it can kill in four shots scoped.
