Light Rifle feels....

underpowered. does anyone else feel this way?

It felt a little weak in the campaign too. Huge strafe spread and not as powerful shots as the unsc counterparts.

Agreed.

Right now it’s all about the BR/Carbine/DMR for matchmaking with PP or Boltshot.

All the new weapons are underpowered, at least to me.

I have some success with the LR but i don’t use it on the smaller maps and use it on BTB maps.It’s also the only utility rifle that isn’t hit scan either but that can be argued that it has a skill factor because of that. Leading your shots makes you an instant pro :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ll have to spend more time with though. It is an interesting gun to say the least. I would even go as far to say it has more potential than the Carbine does.

Scoped LR has the fastest kill time of the semi-automatics

Burst LR has the slowest kill time of the semi-automatics

Thus it is very balanced.

Yeah I did notice the scope was pretty powerful.

But then it only fills a small niche for very far combat; with not many people using it effectively at short to mid range as in its description.

funny. i feel the complete opposite of that. i got the imprint skin LR with my new halo Xbox. my K/D ratio have rocketed since i started using it

I only find it useful in killing the crawlers in their eyes or whatever it is.

It’s as powerful as a DMR when scoped. However, the DMR is hitscan (instant damage, no leading shots), and the Lightrifle is projectile (damage delay, leading shots). So that’s a major disadvantage.

And when unscoped, it’s a burst-fire pea shooter.

It needs to shoot faster, and the DMR needs to shoot slower. And the Carbine maybe needs a small damage buff. Then we’ll have some balance between these four guns.
