Light Rifle as a loadout?

I don’t know if anybody has seen this in the bulletin but BSangel states the following.

> in-game LightRifle Skin

.

Could this mean that the LR will be added as a variant for the loadouts? Maybe it will be a ordinance drop that will be able to combat the DMR and BR. According to the E3 Campaign demo, the LR has a 3 shot unzoomed and a one shot zoomed.

What do you think? Could we see the LR wit the BR and DMR, or will it be an ordinance drop?

I would guess it’s an ordnance drop but then again it could just mean any time you pick up a light rifle the skin gets placed on it.

Frankie tweeted about Kevin’s light rifle. The use of a possessive pronoun leads me to believe that he may have been teasing it as one of the unseen loadout weapons.

Hope to god its a loadout weapon. And when I did that glitch in SDCC and picked it up, the single shot scoped was not SNIPER powerful but more like a powerful DMR shot.

I hope it is a loadout weapon, but it could be a POD.

The Lightrifle seems like somekind of Forerunner BR or DMR. Just like the Carbine is the Covenant “version” of the BR and the DMR.

I guess it will be a loadout weapon. It seems to work like the BR from the Halo 2 E3 demo. 3 shot unscoped and 1 shot scoped. That’s quite cool.

The Light Rifle is a forerunner equivalent to a BR/DMR/Carbine. Seemed obvious to me from the get-go that it would be a Loadout weapon. I don’t see how anyone had doubts about it.

Why not have it as a loadout weapon? Do you really think they’d give a Sniper Rifle a 12 round magazine?

It’ll probably just be a weapon to cover long and close range, but come up a little short at medium range. Unless you can get the more accurate scoped shots in.

I think you can have all the weapons as a loadout. That’s why they can be unlockable. But it’d only affect Matchmaking for that specific gametype I personally think.

No, you are incapable of having confirmed power weapons, and Ordinance weapons as loadouts. Meaning no spawning with Scattershots, Energy Swords, Sticky Detonators, Needlers, Snipers, Fuel Rod Guns, or Rocket Launchers.

It’ll probably be one of the last weapons you can unlock, as will be any other Forerunner weapons, like the repeater or possibly some type of sidearm.

Guess I know what I’m playing for, then

Nope. Power Weapons and Ordnance Drop weapons can’t be used in loadouts unless you are in customs.

Edit: I got ninja’d. Someone answered earlier.

I know that. But you didn’t get what I was trying to get to.

You’d spawn with weapons that are required to be used for a certain game. I’m not saying you can for Infinity Slayer and other classics, I’m just saying that you could on certain gametypes, and custom gametypes. Why do you think that you can have skins for a lightrifle? When a lightrifle is pretty much a power weapon that was designed to disintegrate targets from a distant?

If you think differently like I did, then it’d make more sense. If you still don’t understand, then it doesn’t matter, really.

Light rifle is no where near a power weapon. I played with it and a 15 shot weapon is no way a power a weapon.

Why do you think it disintegrated the Elite within 1 shot on the E3 Campaign Demo?

Because Chief had already drained its shields with his BR…?

God I hope so, I’m beginning to love that gun <3

That event was scripted I think.

yeah, was just making a point from what I thought. Just the response I was expecting. Ok…
