It would make sense for Light Rifle to be 4 shot kill due its slow rate of fire and just plain being a Forerunner weapon. I can’t see it being as Ordanance so I believe this could be accurate.
Its very possible it could be a 4 shot kill, it does seem strong but slow. Im curious how accurate it is at a distance? Did anyone notice recoil? I don’t believe it has bloom either but I may be wrong.
As long as its kill times are on par with the other precision weapons and it’s well balanced for its intended role, I don’t care how many shots it takes to kill somebody. I just don’t want another Halo 3 BR that dominates every other weapon.
I would like this:
If Power Weapon
3sk,2sk when scooped,1sk when scooped/headshot
If not Power Weapon
4sk,3sk when scooped,2sk if scooped/headshot+scooped/bodyshot,3sk if scooped/headshot+2 bodyshots.
I honestly want the light rifle to be a power weapon, we already have the DMR/BR/carbine so the idea of having even more utility weapons just sickens me.

I still don’t get why people keep saying this. I played Halo 3 yesterday and only used the carbine. I wrecked people with that gun and the kill time is faster than the BR, with the only downside being a little less range. Those are the only two precision weapons not counting the sniper rifles, and they are well balanced with each other. The only thing that isn’t balanced are the dual wielded weapons, like the Plasma Rifle, Pistol, and Spiker. The Mauler is still good as always.
The reason why the BR seemed so good was because the Carbine was not used as often, automatic weapons just don’t kill as fast because how easy they are to use, and the fact that dual wielding wasn’t the smartest idea for weapon balance.
Even in Halo 2 the Carbine had a faster kill time than the BR… So people need to stop playing with the assumption that the BR was a god weapon, and realize that the Carbine killed faster and dual wielded weapons were always underpowered.
It get’s on my nerves all the people who are against a balanced 4-shot BR in Halo 4 just because they felt that was the most overused weapon in the series.
Is League of Legends as good as Dota? I’m sure most people can answer that the most played =/= the best.

To large of a magazine and ammo capacity is really high to be coonsidered a power weapon.

I don’t know where people are getting the 2sk LR thing from. I never heard about it being in Ordnance drop. A 2sk rifle sounds like a sniper with additional bleedthrough.
The light Rifle is like br, DMR, and Carbine. So I will guess it will be 4sk. There is no way it can be a power weapon.
According to 343, the Light Rifle fires a 3-round burst from the hip. As opposed to being a power weapon, the LR may instead be a weapon that can fit a wide range of roles. This versatility would still make it valuable as ordnance.

Well if it’s supposed to function for all roles, than I can see people dropping their weapon for this gun perhaps.
