The region lock needs to be lifted otherwise this games population outside of the US is going to be dead in the next month. I live in the UK and at high onyx csr in slayer I can’t find a game past 8pm. I also struggle to find FFA games. Obviously I understand that playing people from US on their server is a disadvantage but we played H3, Reach etc on their servers so what difference does it make now. I would rather play constant games with the odd game being a little laggy than sitting searching for an hour without finding a match.
On a side note I also think the csr should always go up for a win regardless of who you play against. I have played too many 10 minute games were my csr has not budged at all. Even something like a minimum of 3/4 csr increase per game would be good !
I made a thread on this myself a couple of weeks ago as this has only been an issue since January and have replied in several other threads regarding the same issue.
As far as I’m aware 343 haven’t even acknowledged it as being an issue which is unacceptable. The simple fact is, it IS an issue and it would be really nice just to know they have noticed it and are working on a fix.
I literally used to play every day at least 15 arena games a day with onyx in all but swat but as soon as January hit, all I got was ‘unable to find a server’ in every onyx play list. This is a server based game, not P2P the connectivity issues were not bad enough to warrant this block in the first place.
Please 343 you have got to acknowledge this and fix it because I know I’m among many in saying that as much as I love the halo franchise and in all honesty, halo 5 is an excellent game, with a full time job, I can’t come home and keep waiting over 5 minutes just to be told there are no servers at all. It’s easier for myself and many many others to just move on to a different game.

We need more people who are experiencing this issue to speak out collectively. I’ve just read the Hammer Storm update patch notes and nowhere does it mention or even address this issue which likely means another month of not being able to find games thus not playing at all.
Having the same issues, all they have to do is give us the option to search with it on or off so that way if we dont find a match we can search for americans etc. Such a simple fix but again 343 shows they have down syndrome.

The weird thing is from Brazil, until february we did find NO game at all in modes other than arena, but games never lagged, now we find it everytime but all games lag.

The option to switch it on or off would be perfect and would definitely solve the issue. So bad that nothing was dressed in regard to the lock in the update. As said its likely going to be another month of not finding games…

I find games with d6 and d5 but it’s the same players 10 games in a row It’s not even about not having enough available players, we tried queing the same time with the same result. It won’t match you properly so there has to be something wrong with the matching process as well, it can’t be just low population
I honestly want to see where this problem stands with microsoft. After the Hammerstorm update 343 has gained my trust and respect. But on microsofts behalf, xbl has been facing some major problems. The only feedback we get from them is a help screen showing that something is down.
