I dont know about yall but Id love to see a lich in the next spartan ops.
Yes it’d be great, assuming it has little scripting and it’s full capacity is achieved.
What is a lich, I’m bot kidding I have no idea what it is.
Am I the only one that got a Scarab-boarding from Halo 3 vibe during that encounter with the Lich?
I’d totally love to see more encounters with it in Spartan Ops.
> Am I the only one that got a Scarab-boarding from Halo 3 vibe during that encounter with the Lich?
Yes. It was too easy. Scarabs were much more fun, and slightly harder too. I wouldn’t mind more though, because its the closest thing we’re gonna get to destroying scarabs again.
A Lich is a poor replacement for a Scarab. Remember the Scarabs orbital dropping in Halo 3? We went from that to a flying purple lump.
I’d rather see Scarabs. Or if we have to have a large flying Covie ship then at least something better looking.
That would be awesome. It would be even better if they brought back the Scarab, but I’d love to take down a few Liches in Spartan Ops at the least.
Also, I want to fly the Pelican and Broadsword in Spartan Ops. That would be even better.

They were fun once you noticed all you have to do is jump on it, throw 2 grenades, and jump off.
It would have been better if you actually had to destroy them.

I def got that feeling. It was a lot of fun. I’s still love to see scarabs in future Halos though…
> Scarabs were much more fun
No they weren’t.
Shoot the legs until it has a seizure, then crawl up it’s butt and make it’s butt explode. In the double Scarab battle at the end you opt out of crawling up it’s butt and skip straight to the exploding.
It was even worse once you realized there was this huge blind spot underneath it where you could just sit and shoot it’s legs to make it seizure and it was too stupid to belly slam you into a fine paste.
Personally: I was disappointed when I found out about the Lich and that it’s basically a really fat Phantom.

I actually had that feeling with a lot of parts of the campaign. Quite nostalgic and familiar at many times.
I’m not saying the Lich is an equal replacement for the Scarab. Just that it fills that hole quite well. Not perfectly, but well.
But considering there was technically only one encountered in the campaign, I would totally love to see it in Spartan Ops. Same thing with the Broadsword and Pelican.

You limited your experience by being a noob then. We used to jump the hog/mongoose onto it off the ramps with the right timing, or land the hornets on them.
The jumping was epic, you are just a mediocre gamer with a limited imagination.

This was the best thing ever. In Halo 2, we’d always drive a Warthog up to the bridge in “Metropolis.”

Don’t forget how you could have your pilot at the twin Scarabs fight bring you close.
What I used to do with The Storm Scarab was launch myself in a Wraith and land on it. It was 10x more epic.
I’m still waiting for someone to attempt a flip launch into the Lich using a Wraith…
Lich would be great- but if they could recreate the 2nd last battle in “The Covenant” Halo 3 with two scarabs…
Ah man, that would be nothing short of amazing

I’m assuming you’ve seen the trailer for the return of Spartan Ops? There are broadswords in the trailer- definitely hints at some aircraft action
Yeah, I think 343i can and should put one in Spartan Ops, since boarding one was already featured in the campaign.

This guy gets it. It was fun trying to jump on the scarab on the ark using a scorpion or a wraith, and just do fun things with it. It was even better fighting scarabs on legendary.
I also don’t understand how cortana automatically knew what a lich was even though she and the chief had never encountered them ever before…
because 343 aen’t as crafty as bungie, almost… but not quite there yet…
Thanks for the kind words >.< Of course I get it, I’ve been with halo since CE and I know to play an epic game as an epic dude (mc), you gotta think big.
I got a warning for stating the facts earlier…
No fuss, it’s the truth to say the least.
Lich isn’t nearly as cool as a Scarab. Mainly because we don’t see it do anything besides fire a scripted laser that seems to EMP the cannon.
Whoopdeedoo.
At least the Scarab in 2 destroyed a lot of things as it walked about, and in three the Scarabs actually fought and could take you out with a beam. But the Lich just fires a beam, then parks itself to be a big easy target.
While I was originally happy to see a new vehicle, I was underwhelmed by it entirely. I actually forgot it existed for a while.
