Am I the only person who thinks The Library on legendary isn’t as hard as people say it is? It isn’t easy, but I definitely don’t think it’s the hardest level in the franchise or even the hardest in the game. For me, Truth and Reconciliation is much harder, followed by Two Betrayals. The pre-grav lift fight in TaR and the second pulse generator on TB were much harder than the entirety of Library. All you have to do on Library is carry a shotgun, watch out for rocket flood, and take your time.

I think it’s annoying when you throw a grenade and suddenly the whole room blows up because it caused a chain reaction and flood have way more grenades than necessary for any living being.
I enjoy slogging through The Library on Legendary. It’s actually fun for me. It really isn’t a difficult level; one just has to know the spawns.
From what I keep hearing, it isn’t that it’s considered “hard”, it’s more based on the fact that a lot of people in general find The Library to be annoying and repetitive.

The Library is thought by many to be the hardest level. I was just reading a thread about the hardest missions on legendary, and the most common answer was Library.
The level is difficult but, like Cortana, it isn’t as difficult as people say.
And yes, it is definitely repetitive.
Dude Two Betrayels is soooo much more difficult.

I think it depends on the person. For me when I first played it on the original Xbox I guess it might have been difficult but as we gamers get older the games become easier.

I don’t know, the repetitive gets to me on this one. I recently played it with unlimited ammo and it still got on my nerves, enough so for me to quit playing the level. I know I will eventually play it again and score it, but just need to step away for awhile. Must be getting too old…

I will admit, though, that I find every Flood-related level “hard” (except for The Covenant, due to the Flood only being a tiny portion of that). I just have difficulty fighting zombie-eque enemies in video games, it’s very psychological, plus they hit quite hard and can resurrect if you don’t dismember them enough. “Cortana” on Heroic was very annoying for me - I got lost a few times, but also the ranged Pure Flood Forms caused me to waste ammo due to their sponginess and hard hits (and wanting to kill them from a distance so I didn’t aggro the other Flood).
Two Betrayals is the hardest in the game on Legendary, Gravemind is the hardest in the franchise by far.

I found truth and recon to be much harder than gravemind, gravemind was just a lot of careful carbine ammo management and patience

In my opinion, the library was one of the easier levels on legendary.
