Is there any way to level up whilst playing with somebody else. Me and my brother have separate gamertags and we both log in but when we play together on the same xbox we can earn XP or level up. It’s annoying as hell I should be like 10 levels higher by now but I never earn XP when we are both playing, only when I play alone

I’m pretty sure you’re both earning XP & levelling up. It just can’t display the usual ‘XP gained’ screen after each game since there’s 2 of you on the same console. Reach did something similar. Next time you’re playing keep an eye on your rank number, you should still see it increase every now and then.
