Yes, I agree - since hitting 130 I don’t feel like trying for challenges anymore or playing Spartan OPs like I used to.

- you should play spartan ops because its a pretty good story line, because you get credit or xp.

I still play Halo 4 even when I’m at 130 because I’m personally having a lot of fun. Commendations suck, but they still give me a bit of an incentive to play as I am a completionist.
I like to play Spartan Ops on easy alone, because most of the players on Spartan Ops Matchmaking only play for the XP, completion, and Challenges. They also Yoink!- so much of your kills (especially assassinations), go AFK, and betray you.
Playing on easy makes me feel like I’m doing “canon-weapon damage” and that my enemies aren’t complete bullet sponges.

Believe it or not, rewarding gameplay with things like XP, ranks, weapon unlocks etc. is a big part of videogames nowadays. It’s all about player retention.
Halo 4 lost a lot of players through the specialisation debacle when they realised they were capped at 70 and couldn’t increase in rank for months. People like rewards in games nowadays.
EDIT: For the record, I’m a big fan of Halo 4 and think Spartan OPs is an excellent addition. I never said I didn’t like it but due to the lack of XP incentive I just don’t feel like playing it like I used to (which was a lot). I’m playing more Matchmaking now.
I still play Spartan OPs though and love the story.

To be honest if you play for the ranks you play for the wrong reasons, get used to the fact that they are probably not going to bring out more ranks, and if they do one day, be happy and surprised, but please stop with endless forums on the matter.

VISIBLE IN GAME RANK WITH A RANKING SYSTEM LIKE HALO 2/3’S IS THE ONLY WAY TO FIX THIS.

Your slightly sarcastic comment only holds partial meaning, in the case of the map pack yes but Spartan ops up to date has been free along with playlist updates, sonot entirely about the money no.
Well I agree that no matter how many levels they add, people will always max out. Much like how I have a cousin who reaches the cap in Call of Duty in less then 6 months. I mean he’s so committed, he maxed out Blips 2 in January. And it doesn’t seem to bother him that’s there’s no more. He’s now playing with a focus on maxing the guns out, much like in Halo 4 where you can focus on commendations. The only grip I have there is, no matter all the XP I earn, it won’t matter. At least in COD, you’re getting different weapon skins. I’d like that in Halo 4. Have a commendation working towards those. Or other visual rewards. Gives you something to aim for.
Now… here’s my major worry. When no other levels are added to COD, I guess what doesn’t make it bad, is players know another game will be out in less than a year. I really hope Microsoft isn’t planning a Halo 5 for the launch of the next Xbox. I don’t mind a different entry, like ODST into the franchise, but I really hope this no raising of the level cap doesn’t mean Halo 5 is out this year. I’m getting this feeling… I mean, the 360 launch didn’t need it, but you never know.
I wish 343 would come out and let us know if they plan to raise it or not.
Currently at SR 85 level, and can’t have enough of Spartan Ops.

Matching client for Spartan Ops is done WRONG way,
so - why not have the matching client type like the one from Gears 3
(automatically gathering all 4 players for you). (and waiting is MUCH less).
Client for Spartan Ops sucks, as it also starts game for only 2 players. (we should be able to CHOOSE SO, 2, 3 or 4).
Waiting so much, to find ANY game in Spartan Ops sucks a big time too.
See: you have, say, 5 players wandering around 5 DIFFERENT maps at the same time,
and is a bloody miracle when they find each other on the same map and get “matched” after century of waiting and WANDERING around, for a game that way .
Also: why not fix that matching client to allow joining games in progress, for Spartan Ops ? (See other shooters on how this is done properly).
This way, 343 will prove that they DO care for more than just our money, and we will feel that we have our own input in the match making process (crucial important, if you want to see our money again, for next Halo). Do I need to say

There is CSR now you can earn even if you are 130. I see plenty of 130s playing.

They could increase it to SR-343.
ive been at level 130 forever so boring. i was also one of those guys stuck at level 70 for 2 weeks that was VERY LAME 343!
Why sr 130?
Sr 130 is so fricken stuupid number to stop on. they could have made it so u dont even get anything new past level 130, just make it able to get past level 130 for free …
i agree it should have been level cap 343 that would have been cool. but we all know to not expect fun things from 343 industries.
There’s really no need for a level cap at all. Just make each subsequent level past the specializations require double the XP of the previous and let it ride . . .
