Like others have said. Keep buying silvers. Stay away from Bronze and Golds. Silvers have a better chance of popping a Rare level unlock.
I don’t know if this Promo is still going but they were dealing out mega amounts of Gold Req packs for Fire Fight wins and completing the FF commendations.
I also feel this is good place to rack up req points (especially with a boost). You can get well over 2k points per match and the matches are shorter than a regular warzone game. Only issue is you will eat through your vehicles pretty quick. But hey, you got to spend money to make money right?
I was lucky and had 3 of them at rank 35-40. I started with bronze for about a week and decided it was nonsense. I went to silvers and got all kinds of good weapons way faster. I started using the boosts every game. I wait until I have 400/500k reqs and drop them all at once, then start saving again.

I do the same. Just hoard req points and buy a crap load at once.
It just took me a lot longer to figure out that I needed to be buying silvers. Instead of going Bronze I was going Gold. Once I went to exclusively silvers I started getting more loadouts at their base req level.
I just got my DMR, at level 82. That’s the beauty of the REQ system.
I got the extended mags version around SR 32…

Don’t buy gold or bronze packs, only silver. You could also buy that new starter pack they came out with. I thought of buying it for the pistol.
I got it till lvl 89 :(. And dont get me started on Halo 2 BR i got that -Yoink!- untill 120
Got mine around level 30 (I know right) And already have the long barrel and laser DMR and am level 60.

I got the H2 BR about the same time. It’s a legendary req though so I sort of assumed it would take awhile.
It’s a crap shoot. All you can do is play the odds. As more rare reqs come off the board the closer you are to getting it.

push silvers man, those golds hurt ya pretty bad. make a quick spreadsheet to see what all you have left. It really helped me with my silver/bronze grind
Stay on silvers until you get every single common to rare req in the game before you move on to golds as you will then have a guaranteed chance of getting ultra rares or legendary items. I was extremely lucky and got my DMR on like my 5th req pack ever however I have heard tons of other stories of people not getting any DMRs until like level 66. Its stupid I feel like they should have a mix of RNG and a rewarding system for doing things.

Like most people are saying, silver packs are the way to go until you’re done with common, uncommon and rare unlocks. I’m level 85 and have all rare dmrs and just moved to gold packs.
Keep grinding bro, I was a 136 when I unlocked everything.
Yeah… I bought pretty much only silvers, and I finished all of my common-rare REQs by the early level 80s. You should just stick to silver packs (no bronze packs at all, they’re not worth it) until you’re done your rares, then move to gold packs! You should get plenty of DMRs!
Theres a difference btw some RNG in Games… with Destiny it gave us mulltiple of the same weapon that we already had… with Halo 5 you do not get duplicates. You will eventually get it, and you can even do a count on waypoint or in your collection in game and see how many common - rares you have… if you have everything and are almost going to gold. You’ll get it soon enough, and when you do, you can count on getting multiple DMR’s back to back. Thats what happened to me. if youve finished silvers the game has to giv it to you.
I got my first (and only, so far) in the 40 levels. I’m level 47, so I haven’t had it that long. Also, it’s a level 8 req, so I’ve used it twice, I think.
I got my first dmr at lvl 20. I unlocked all silvers at level 77. I only bought 10 packs with real money. The trick to play alot of warzone assault
