I know that I am going to get a lot of “bye” and “don’t let the door hit you on the way out,” but I need to say my final words before I leave HALO 5 for Battlefront. So here goes.

I really enjoyed this game’s online multiplayer at first. It was fun, new, exciting, and was interesting to see what REQs I got in packs! Seeing the new versions of old weapons with rarity and new perks to them was awesome. I especially love the blackhole bomb version of the Plasma Pistol. It’s great. I loved earning my vehicles through packs instead of racing to the vehicle. And now the “bad” part.

Warzone Scoring and Player Usefulness
However… after hitting level 50 through Arena and Warzone, I am extremely bored. I don’t even bother playing the map. I just run around looking at the scenery. I know, I know, I am terrible. But am I hurting my team at all? Not really (Warzone only). I can tag 5 kills and one Boss takedown and remain at the top of the leaderboard the entire game while painting the scenery for the rest of the game. The worst part is that no matter how well or bad you do on your team, you still ALL get the SAME XP and REQ points. I feel like there are governments that run their country like this… but anyway. Make being a team player again worthwhile and you might find me back playing HALO 5 on occasion. If your team loses and you are #1 on your team, give an XP bonus or REQ bonus. 5 Boss takedowns and 40 spartan kills should not have the same XP and REQ as the AFK player in the back who taps their joystick every 2:45 minutes in home base to keep from getting kicked.
Warzone Maps…
Three maps. The same three maps for a month. Oh my god I am so tired of them. Talk about lack of content, this makes Destiny look amazing. I literally cannot force myself to play them anymore.
The DMR…Hello?
So as mentioned I am level 50 right now. I have yet to get any version or variant of the DMR. Do the math of how many REQ packs I have spent REQ points on (not a dime from real cash) to get level 50 worth of silver packs to still have an Unlimited Use Weapon elude me. All other weapons I acquired within the first few promotion levels. I figured eventually a promotion pack would unlock the DMR like the others. Nope. So I played for a month and have never held a DMR that didn’t have the blood of an enemy spartan (or friendly) on it.
Arena, why bother?
This game is clearly revolving around REQ packs and the Warzone. So what is the point of playing Arena other than to brag about being Onyx? I hit Diamond 1 (I don’t even know where that ranks honestly) in every playlist right off the bat (after the 10 completions). Yay? So what? The most I played was Shotty Snipes to get the Commendation Packs and Mastery Packs since I sell every single REQ item I get except XP/REQ boosts. I just don’t find as much enjoyment in Arena after playing wide open maps in Warzone.
Final Notes
It was fun while it lasted even if it didn’t last long (there is a -Yoink!- life joke there somewhere). However I belong in a galaxy far far away and I hope to return to HALO 5 Warzone in the off-time from Battlefront. And I hope that in my adventures of choking rebel scum, that this game gets a tune up. That being said, I hope you all well and I wish you luck.
