Halo 5 is one of the most disliked games in the Halo franchise mainly due to its poorly told campaign,so I’ve decided to make this post to see how others visioned what halo 5 could’ve been instead of what we got.So to start off, lets write the first mission of our Halo 5.The most liked post will be considered the official 1st (or whatever mission were on) mission and we’ll continue from there.
Halo 5 should have been MP only. Followed shortly after by a separate campaign/war zone Halo game. This could have put MP on its own timeline for future updates etc and given them more time to work the story/plot and integration with war zone; effectively creating a new Halo franchise.

People would riot… you should delete this post and not even give 343 the idea of releasing just a multiplayer for halo and then have the campaign as an “update”… majority hated the withheld content that was included as updates as is… doing this just may kill Halo.
Halo 5 is DONE. there is no need to try an rewrite or anything. what 343 needs to decide now is do they keep on this track of the “created” vs the “creators” war that is brewing or end it in outside media like H4 and try a different route for the franchise.
But in the spirit of the post what I envisioned Halo 5 being, from the events of Halo 4, cut scenes of Spartan ops and trailers of Halo 5. well we all know Cortana was dying in H4 and as we where told in H4 the only way to fix her was to get her back to Dr. Halsey. Well in the cut scenes we know Halsey ends up in covenant custody so to speak. this means Chief wouldn’t know where she is. As we saw in a trailer he was walking through a desert in a cloak when a guardian rises up out of the sand. you then see him holding Cortana’s chip. So essentially I would have had two hunts. One would be Chief looking for Halsey so she could fix Cortana and the other would have been Locke hunting for Chief. The campaign would have been alternating missions between Chief and Locke. None of this “team” stuff. As cool as it was to fight with Blue Team computer friendly AI just isn’t good enough to make it truly enjoyable.

Not an “update”, a separate game entirely. I hope 343 does use my idea.

What does that have to do with the topic of this post?

Hey…that’s a good idea. Chief would be looking to find the Covenant, which would be a better reason to be hunted than we got.

That sounds like a pretty good idea.

And I hope they don’t. I remember someone else had a solid argument against selling multiplayer and campaign separately, I just don’t remember exactly what that argument was.
