Alright everyone, as we all know, we get updates every now and then with content. How good this content is has been a matter of debate, but this thread will give ideas on how to utilise Halo 5s potential with these updates. But first, I have a few things to state before getting into it.

This post is in no way to hate or flame 343 or anyone, as it seems many posts suggesting ideas to improve the game, get people who say “don’t like it don’t play it”- This thread is to discuss and create ideas that will improve the experience for EVERYONE.

Whether you love this game, or it has disappointed you, we can all agree that it does not have anywhere near the amount of content or variety past iterations had. This problem can be fixed in these updates, and this thread is to discuss what can be put in these updates to add endless possibilities to this game.
Now let’s get into it!
Firstly, gametypes! These are a must, at a minimum, we need Oddball, Infection and assault. Why these three? I will explain it here:
Oddball- Anyone who has played halo from the start would know how much of a staple this gametype is. When you aren’t playing CTF, BTB or slayer, you were likely playing oddball. Or customs. I don’t need to explain this much further, as I’m sure many understand why this is important. In terms of possibilities, imagine it with the new Spartan abilities we know have- clamber, thruster, etc- Oddball can utilise these.
Infection- Now this is where I have some great ideas. I won’t really talk about the gametype itself, I know everyone knows how fun and important it is to halo. Following will be some ideas which can be created with Halo 5s abilities and weapons. (Modified infection variants)
Alpha Zombies- The first zombie (alpha) spawns with a Prophets bane, while everyone else is a player human, with a standard shotgun and magnum. As the alpha infects humans, they will get standard swords, and his abilities become stronger (increased thruster or Spartan charge range maybe?) The last man standing (the last human left) will get a legendary shotgun (Blaze of Glory- the White one). The rest of the zombies will get the ravening silver energy sword to compensate. So now you can see how crazy this would be!
Zombies- The standard infection style, with similar ideas to the previous. Last man standing gets legendary shotgun, and all zombies get the ravening silver energy sword.
Now these are two possible, crazy, fun gametypes from infection, using halo 5s new additions.
Assault: Now we all know why this is important- GRIFFBALL!! Even the base assault gametype is very fun.
So that’s gametypes, I obviously ran out of ideas, so feel free to think up of some more!
Second, is forge/customs. This was sort of mentioned in the gametypes area, but imagine if we can use the new weapon variations in forge and custom games. You could have one gametype where one team uses base variant weapons and vehicles only, but have far more of them, and the other team uses the best Tier, but has very little. Example, 3 standard scorpion vs 1 ONI scorpion vs 3 standard banshees vs 1 ultra banshee vs 3 standard wraiths vs 1 ultra wraith…all at once! Crazy right? That is the potential i see here. Imagine these sorts of playlists in action sack, where all you do is spawn in these vehicles and just cause mayhem…FOR THE FUN OF IT. Without worrying about how many ONI tanks you have, or wasting your good cards. Those can be saved for warzone.
