Its been said each coop buddy will have some little special feature/weapon. What do you think they will/should be
Blue Team:
Chief (leader. Gives orders )
Fred (slightly better HP)
Kelly (Faster)
Linda (better aiming. Maybe with autoaim or better zoom)
_Osiris
Locke (leader. Gives orders)
Vale (can understand secret enemy dialogue?)
Buck (visr or something
Tanaka better motion tracker
I hope Vale has the “aim help” that the playable Elites had in Reach. The little circle on the HUD that showed where to aim plasma weapons, making them more accurate at range. Or maybe her plasma weapons take longer to overheat, or cool off faster. I don’t think Buck will have VISR, that would be a huge effort to put into the game for just one character. I think Buck will have some sort of support buff, like he gives those close to him .05% better shields or faster reloads. Or maybe weapons/collectibles get highlighted further away.
Chief has his luck. Perhaps enemies are more likely to miss him?
Master Chief and Locke are unique characters; therefore, I disagree with them having the same abilities. Chief should have luck: maybe he’s able to find more ammo in weapons. Locke has the Artemis Tracking System.

Linda…maybe one more level of zoom per gun.
Fred, who knows. If it were Sam I would say harder melee punch. I guess having more HP as Fred wouldn’t be bad.
Vale looks more aerodynamic than others in Osiris. Maybe her thrusters are buffed somehow.
Buck, idk. Maybe faster crouch walk/harder to detect. Only reason I say this was because there was so much sneaking around involved in ODST, even though that was more of the case with Rookie.

Fred was a master with a combat knife so a more deadly melee attack wouldn’t be too out of the question, perhaps instead of using the equipped weapon/fist to melee he always uses a combat knife for some extra effect. Faster assassinations?

Faster assassinations would be pointless because you can just tap the button for an instant assassination.
I think Buck might have 3 grenades an extra grenade like in Halo 3:ODST.
Would like Linda to have some extra Hud elements to help with sniping, highlighting enemy heads or showing you a line where your shot will go (so you can do crazy ricochet shots) (actually making it easier for her to aim would be a mistake I think, making sure the best sniper out of your friends is playing Linda would be a more interesting option).
Vale: Squat Master
Vale challenges her enemy to a squat challenge in the gym and defeats them with her massive tights. She even beat Buck, so he got jealous and started sitting on nothing as seen in the trailer.

I would have Linda keep her motion-tracker even when zoomed in.

I like this 
Maybe for chief’s ‘luck’ it could be that the last bullet(s) in each clip do triple damage or something. Then you’d really feel lucky that you finished the enemy off before you had to hide and reload. Or maybe his grenades always take a lucky bounce. I’d like to see something more than just being able to command the squad.

good ideas but I don’t think you understand how small that percentage is
John-117: Lucky - Regarded as the luckiest SPARTAN, John’s shielding has maintained glorious wherewithal during his service (slightly stronger shields).
Fred-104: Assassin - Fred’s abilities with the combat knife are renown, and as a result, he uses his knife without restraint (melee replaced by knife, assassination combos).
Linda-058: Wolf - Regarded by John as the strongest SPARTAN, Linda’s always been in good health, whether solo or working as part of a team (slightly stronger health).
Kelly-087: Rabbit - Renown as the fastest SPARTAN, Kelly has excellent stamina and speed (slightly faster movement and longer sprint duration).
I don’t know enough about Osiris to guess their abilities yet.

It could be game-changing though. I believe it would turn the BR into a 5sk from a 4, so that would give you a huge advantage in MM. If it gives you a huge advantage in MM, then it would also be advantageous in campaign.
Of course we’re only talking campaign. I was only using a MM analogy to see how beneficial a slight shield boost could be.

Assassinations are now only the risky, relatively long animation ones I thought?
