I would actually like to see these return as weekend only things. Because when you can play all these anytime you want, people will specifically only play those things. It’s not so special and the rest of the normal playlists suffer with lower populations.
If there are 30 playlists, the entire Halo 4 population will be split up inbetween them. Lower population’s in all playlists. But if there are say 10-15, and every weekend a popular playlist comes in for DXP, the regular playlists will have higher populations throught the week and when the DXP playlist comes along many players will play that playlist as well.

Yes its true I called in sick to work over the week just to play Ranked living dead , My girlfriend was lets just say NOT HAPPY
I believe tons of people enjoyed double xp weekends and the crazy different types of playlists and game types it brought

Its what 343i has said about griffball , So I would say its probably a good topic
Many people enjoy double xp weekends
And seeing how 343i is trying to cut down on the number playlists - bring back double xp weekends would be a great way to bring everyone together

I also really really enjoy large text but most people don’t like it so I have been trying to cut back .
Many people enjoy double xp weekends
Having them as permanent playlists just get boring , besides look at zombies in Reach its just used for padding stats and same with griffball maybe that’s why its not going to be a playlist in Halo 4
Yes. This. I agree all the way. Such good nostalgia coming to the end of the week getting off of work/school and having a fun special playlist weekend. Not to mention the holidays. It was fun and had me excited to relax and play some multiplayer. Hope hey bring this back.

Wanting all week just to play a playlists as much as you can until its gone
And see what Rank or how much xp you could earn in, it was half the fun…
i want the weekend playlists, but LD is in the top 3 most popular playlist in reach, and i dont think that 343i would deny thousands of people there favorite gametype. give LD its own playlist (with KD disabled, so you cant use it to pad your stats), and have weekend playlists for everything else.
Anything that does not include having a gun and shooting on a team or in FFA, needs to be on the xp weekend like Halo 3. Everything worked out fine and nobody complained.
