I’m seriously going to bring this up because many players don’t USE IT PROPERLY. Armor Lock is not used by me. Certaint;y not in any regular gametype but I did extend my arm and use it when in big team battle. The few times came down to when we are locked down on Hemorrhage with no vehicles and the opposing force having vehicles. Skill come into play but every player uses this differently. I instantly choose armor lock prior to respawning and use that to defend against vehicles.
Besides it being annoying for the opposing force of the lock user, give me one good reason why it shouldn’t be an option in Halo 4. Bottom line: armor lock has many weaknesses- just wait for the guy to pop up. simple as that. But it can be a deadly option used in the right place and time.
Man, I type a lot.

No more armor abilities, we want something new.

You don’t stand for everybody.

^ I enjoy armour abilities, it makes a great organisational aspect for teamwork when I play with my friends. If you want a major competitive scene with minimal variant, play MLG which has like 1 pick-up only ability per map.

go play reach then and leave H4. I want Halo 4 not reach 2

as i’ve said before in a different post, there’s nothing wrong with Armour Abilities as long as they’re implemented correctly.

pp who say that armor lock is for noobs are the very noobs I hate block users but if they know how to use it, not only on btb, they re a very pain in the aaaaaaaayoink i bet lol

Armor lockers are very easy to counter. They were taken out because people thought armor lock ruled the game and made it “unfair.” The ones saying that were the noobs and can’t play a game for what it’s worth.

Armor Lock is the noobiest strategy since camping. It’s a fact.

My only issue with amor abilities is the fact that they were brought up in a prequel and none of the other games. From a continuity standpoint they make no sense. In AA was present during the fall of reach why not Halo CE? I can see the reason they wouldn’t be present in CE. One ship, one spartan, limited support and so on. But it doesn’t explain their absence in H2, or H3. IMHO the presence of AA’s from a canon stand point is an epic failure on the part of the developers, that being said, they do add another level to multi player teamwork and so on, giving a lot of game variants a new level of depth we as players had never seen before. The only thing that bugs me is the deviation from logical canon.

Lone wanderer86, I believe they were implemented easily into Reach because the Spartans you play as were a new gen. of Spartans, III’s. They had new tech: the active stealth system*, armor lock and stuff like that. Bottom line, new suits of armor = new abilities.

Isn’t armor lock the ultimate form of camping in a way???

Mind=blown

Let me explain why the rest of the world hates armour lock…

  1. You have rockets, you’ve slaughtered many opponents for the control of them or rushed them effectively, you see an opposing player, you shoot, he goes into armour lock and you through your controller against the tv.

  2. You have the most amazing stick in the world, they go into armour lock, you through your controller against your tv.

  3. You out DMR an opposing player till they’re one shot, they go into armour lock and their team mates come and rape you, and you throw your controller against your tv.

  4. You stick an opponent a few meters in front of you and they go into armour lock, they come out of it and you get stuck with your own grenade, and you throw your controller against your tv.

  5. You throw you’re controller against your tv because your team mate is using armour lock

So I think I’ve summed it up from my point of view… We hate armour lock because when anyone uses it we have a huge bill to pay for our Tv or controller (or lack thereof).

Good day sir.

LETS not.

I like AA’s, I would be sad to see them go, but if 343 feels that they have no purpose in 4 or if they wanna change them up a little, that is their decision, Halo lived before them, and I think it will do just fine without them, either way I will still buy the game

I can understand your concerns about Armor Lock, but T.U. being everywhere these days also featured two nerfs to AL:

  1. If a stick hits you before your fully in AL, it still kills you.

  2. You only get two burns of it before its used up. This highly limits its abilities and many users can’t use it appropriately anymore.

  3. It is never a game’s fault for you throwing your controller against a t.v. set, calm down, remember: the game is there for you to have fun, if something prohibits that, patience and working around it will always be a wise option.
