Hey guys! I bet we’re all excited for the Memories of Reach update in May, then Hog Wild in June. But I think the legendary Halo 3 deserves an update. Halo 3 was no doubt my favorite Halo game; the multiplayer and campaign were phenomenal. So I think Halo 5 deserves an update themed on Halo 3. Here’s what we get:
New weapons: Halo 3 Shotgun. [This has a longer effective range, enhances speed, shields, and armor, as well as doing killer damage.]
Spiker [a.k.a. the spike rifle] [Just your normal everyday spiker.]
Brute Shot [This is like the brute grenade launcher.]
New vehicles: Anti-air Wraith, Hornet, Prowler, Chopper [The motorcycles brutes drive.]
New AIs: Brutes, brute chieftains, brute commanders, Tartarus. [Tartarus is a legendary warzone boss.]
New warzone map: Valhalla
New arena map: Last Resort
New weapon skins
New armors
Well, I hope you guys like this idea. Hopefully, Microsoft will look into this and we could actually get this fantastic update!

This is a dumb idea. How would it work with so many player? Also, we already have it in BTB.
I would love to see all those things! But the brute AI, weapons and vehicles won’t happen, they aren’t in Halo 5.

Well the hammer returned, and there’s the fact Warzone is simulation, so canonically it can be done, maybe if they did it next year (I’m not really happy to wait that long but oh well) since next year will H3’s ten year anniversary, would give them plenty of time to design and add brutes and drones with their weapons and vehicles.
STILL waiting for playable elites.
I think an original trilogy themed update would be a lot better. Taking all the cool and iconic things from the first three games including weapons, armors, vehicles, and maps.

That would be a big update though, worthy of at least 2 or 3 updates.

high ground and last resort would work?
I’m not opposed to this, but if you think about it, Halo 3 left its mark all over Halo 5 in a way Reach and Halo 4 largely ignored:
-equal starts
-no loadouts
-team focus
-no ordinance
-no armor abilities
-low aim assist (yeah, yeah, I know about the magnetism)
-more balanced sandbox (meaning Halo 5 being more balanced than H4 and Reach like Halo 3 was more balanced than H2 and CE)
Halo 5 also has the highest player retention since Halo 3, and I’m guessing it’s for the reasons listed above. Meaning, while probably not the largest population since Halo 3 (I think Reach was larger, but Halo 5 didn’t sell all that well unfortunately) those who do play are more dedicated and return more frequently than players did with Reach and most certainly with Halo 4.
So even if we don’t get a Halo 3 themed update, you can look at Halo 5’s return to Halo 3’s-style arena gameplay itself as an acknowledgment of Halo 3’s legacy and impact.

I have High Ground and a Halo 3 gamemode in my fileshare if anyone’s interested for customs. The only problem is Halo 5’s bullet magnetism ruins the feel of it (especially using the Halo 2 BR. It doesn’t have the spread of the projectile BR from Halo 3.

343 is owned by Microsoft, so people have taken to thinking they are the same thing. It would be like watching Conan O’Brien on TBS, which is owned by Ted Turner, so you say “man, Ted Turner was funny last night.” And people say “you mean Conan?” and you say “same thing.”

New Mombasa should be at night time if it does. It only makes sense that way with it being CQC most of the time
