First, i like what the update did to the battle rifle, but now witch is better? The standard battle rifle, or the Halo2 Battle Rifle? Comment your thoughts and opinions, i am very interested in what the community thinks 
In my opinion they were about equal before, now the H2 BR is definitely better.
H2BR is definitely the prefered one now. Before I would say they were equal, but worked for different scenarios.
I have always felt the H2BR is better. Sure it maybe a bit easier to use but the main reason I love it is that menacing sound it has. The H5 BR just doesn’t sound powerful like the H2 version.
The H2 Battle Rifle completely smashes the H5 Battle Rifle out of the water. Tactical Magnum also puts it to shame.
Halo 2 battle rifle because it actually gets the job done unlike the halo 5 battle rifle.
Im only asking this because before the update, i would never use the battle rifle if i had the option for the halo 2 br, but since the update, i actually feel more accurate with it, and it seems like the time to kill is almost the same for me, anyone else feel this way or…

H2BR used to be a nice trade-off where it was much easier to use, but a bit more inconsistent & therefore not as effective to a skilled player.
But now it’s the clear winner overall, being both easier to use & more effective in the hands of a skilled user.
h5 br is bad now. not ever worth using. h2 br is still as good as ever
What if you could have the old version of the br (by this i mean the halo 4 br) as like an in between, it would also be cool to have a comparson of them in time to kill…

Yes, the H5 BR was completely nerfed and butchered. This information as well as statistics cross-referencing its range capabilities and TTK vs the Magnum for instance, which Magnum actually BESTS the (new/nerfed) H5 BR, is all available via 343 whom posted it publicly on Waypoint. In essence, a pistol beats a rifle at virtually any distance, time, or situation, which in my opinion, is utter pathetic trash.
The H2 BR wasn’t touched by this “weapon tuning” crap, however, therefore, IMO, the H2 BR is now the Battle Rifle of choice, at the current time. It also sounds way meaner and generally more badass as well. Prior to the weapon tuning update, I believe that I did actually prefer the “original” H5 BR as the bullet designation and accuracy was more PREDICTABLE and precision like. It fires way, way too slowly and unpredictably now. A pistol in the hands of a skilled user almost 95+% of the time will defeat the “updated” (butchered) H5 BR.
IDk the BR feels broken now ive hit people in the head while zoomed in and it counted as a body shot
It feels about the same to me, I never really liked it. From what I heard the BRs used to be equal so if the H2 variant wasn’t nerfed then there’s going to be a big difference.
Halo 2 br outclasses halo 5 br now. It isn’t even close. LR and pistol do as well.
Im trying to get used to it since the change but am still having a very frustrating and tough time with it.
Perhaps it was their desire to get people do have to ditch the BR as well. The AR has been the throw away gun since Halo 3. I had always liked the idea of AR only starts, but with so many precision weapons available all over the map, it seems that the BR can now be made the same way.
dont play pvp game modes but i still go for dual BR’s asap before changing to dual DMR’s when i get to them
Often am dominating the headshot score post game and still having a solid overall killscore and double digit assists. Its probably “easier” for me in firefight because im just doing essentially casual pve where the most anoying thing is a jackal that takes 40 hits to kill - not a skilled player jumping and bouncing and thrusting all over the map
in my opinion the new br takes more skill than the old br im not saying the old br is bad but im just saying that new br is better because it needs more skill.
but the normal br is better i like it more
