Just started using the energy bayonet, it’s not that bad of an item with a camouflage power up and definitely makes getting kills as easy as pushing a button, but is this a weapon attachment the Halo series should include into the latest sandbox items?
The armor mod “Strength” gives players additional melee abilities which work hand in hand with the WWI&II-Civil War-Vietnam era styled attachment, but is it overpowered and out of place?
I’ve been using it for the past couple of days, slapping on different power ups and armor mods; on average, I can get 2-3 kills per life.
What’s everyone else’s thoughts on the energy bayonet, and should it be a mainstay in the series going forward?
EDIT:
While we’re on the topic, I’d also like to introduce anyone coming in to the thread or returning to a second idea, what if attachments such as the silencer, kinetic bolts, bayonet, and even extended mags were REQ items?
It’s a bit difficult to understand, but what I’d like to end up with is a system where, you have your standard loadout and normal scopes, then just like if you were to tab into the power weapons section, you see your same battle rifle but this time it’ll cost you a req?
If your a fan of big team battle, I think you’d appreciate this concept because of BTB’s own set up; standard non-variant load outs and power weapons scattered around the map. I can see how this would be to drastic to implement in a causal playlist…

It annoys me a bit, but I use it when I hit level 8 the same as everybody else and yeah, just running around meleeing people with it can rack up a ton of kills.

Does the strength armor help you against bayonet melee attacks?
Honestly, it’s cheap, op, and when you slap the increased strength armor mod on it it gets even worse, but damn if it isn’t fun to use when you’re having a bad game and just want to be a thorn in the side of the enemy team
It’s just like the Prophet’s Bane when paired with Active Camouflage. Also pair it with Advanced Sensors in Warzone and if your good enough, you can easily take a whole base just by yourself, camo works even better.
Upgrade Shields prevents the 1HK on you, unless if the attacker who used the bayonet has Increased Strength or Damage Boost.

I usually run with advanced sensors, enhanced shields will let you tank one but a quick bullet spray deals with that. Strength would probably let you take out the guys who were using enhanced shields.
It’s very noob… not quite as noob as Spartan charge but close. I usually use upgraded shields to prevent the one hit kill or splinter grenade so I can kill them as well. Glad it’s a high req level to use then though.

Stinks to have to use a mod in order to counter a nuisance.
