In Halo 4 I have one of each precision primary weapons from the three major classes… and all with corresponding secondary weapons and grenades (UNSC, Covenant, Promethean) all fitted with same AA’s/Tactics/Support (Jet pack, Mobility, and Dexterity).
The two extra classes I use in context of variant and map…
the one I have for specifically for Big Team/Objective: Weapons (Light Rifle, Plasma Pistol, Frag Grenade with Rejuvenation field, AA regenerator, and AMMO). I primarily use this class if I’m going to be playing in a large map with teammates defending either the objective or accompanying other teammates. Since I’m using this primarily as a defensive tact, I use AMMO cause I tend to run fairly quick when I’m simply engaging enemies from a distance.
The other one I use for Free for All (Regicide)… I have the (Storm Rifle equipped with Magnum, Pulse Grenade, Thrusters for the AA, Mobility and Stealth). I find the Storm Rifle effective in that you can easily switch to the pistol for either when you overheat or need a ranged weapon- and it doesn’t require you to reload so you can easily switch back to the primary and start using it right away. I find the thrusters REALLY helpful because it’s perhaps one of the two AA’s that can counter a plasma grenade, boltshot, and even a melee weapon. Since you can easily hear when a bolt shot is being charged up if it’s nearby, I instinctively retreat in the opposite direction of the sound and if you react fast enough you can almost always avoid getting killed by a boltshot shot- the same with other short ranged power weapons. I usually have dexterity as a support, but since reloading/switching between weapons aren’t as important with this load out I prefer to use Stealth.
