Let's talk about our loadouts...what works4u?

In Halo 4 I have one of each precision primary weapons from the three major classes… and all with corresponding secondary weapons and grenades (UNSC, Covenant, Promethean) all fitted with same AA’s/Tactics/Support (Jet pack, Mobility, and Dexterity).

The two extra classes I use in context of variant and map…

the one I have for specifically for Big Team/Objective: Weapons (Light Rifle, Plasma Pistol, Frag Grenade with Rejuvenation field, AA regenerator, and AMMO). I primarily use this class if I’m going to be playing in a large map with teammates defending either the objective or accompanying other teammates. Since I’m using this primarily as a defensive tact, I use AMMO cause I tend to run fairly quick when I’m simply engaging enemies from a distance.

The other one I use for Free for All (Regicide)… I have the (Storm Rifle equipped with Magnum, Pulse Grenade, Thrusters for the AA, Mobility and Stealth). I find the Storm Rifle effective in that you can easily switch to the pistol for either when you overheat or need a ranged weapon- and it doesn’t require you to reload so you can easily switch back to the primary and start using it right away. I find the thrusters REALLY helpful because it’s perhaps one of the two AA’s that can counter a plasma grenade, boltshot, and even a melee weapon. Since you can easily hear when a bolt shot is being charged up if it’s nearby, I instinctively retreat in the opposite direction of the sound and if you react fast enough you can almost always avoid getting killed by a boltshot shot- the same with other short ranged power weapons. I usually have dexterity as a support, but since reloading/switching between weapons aren’t as important with this load out I prefer to use Stealth.

Ultimate Loadout for trolling PV-users:

    They’ll only be able to see the Hologram through walls. Until you pop out with your Suppressor or Boltshot that is. hehehe…

My most used Loadouts are probably the Camo and Thruster ones in Flood though, I don’t really play anything else anymore besides Grifball and custom games.

I have a Bigteam loadout:
DMR
Plasma pistol
Plasma grenades
Thruster pack/Hardlight(keep switching between the two)
mobility
ammo

Weapons change as I work through the commendations. Right now I’m all AR/Pistol.

AA: Hologram and Jet Pack for slayer, sentry/regen for objective.

Others: right now it’s requisition and ordinance priority till I get those commendations. For objective it’s mobility and the other depends on my mood :slight_smile:

I’ve got 2 for Big Team games;

LR/PP/Plasmas/Ammo/Wheelman/Regen.
DMR/PP/Plasmas/Ammo/Awareness/HLS

(I only really use the LR class though, I only use the HLS class if the other team has a tank or other heavy weapons).

And the other 3 are for general Slayer/small objective games;

BR/BS/Pulse/Ammo/Resupply/Hologram
DMR/AR/Frags/Firepower/Dexterity/PV
Carbine/BS/Pulse/Grenadier/Explosives/Autosentry

My go-to class is the BR, but I’ve started using the Carbine/Pulse 'nades combo and it absolutely shreds.

I mainly use only one class, seeing as it fits my style of play.
Primary: DMR

Ability: Active Camo
Tactical Package: Fast Track (Used to be mobility)
Support Upgrade:Ordanace Priority

However, I am looking into making other loadouts more useful as time goes on, such as Battle Medic, and so on.
I also have a “Demolitions” class, which has a Plasma Pistol, Explosives, and either Grenadier/Resupply.

I have 5 different load outs, each with a specific purpose. Bare with me long post.

1:

Name: Standard

Use: Just my usual go to set up for solo MM. My best weapon is the DMR (MORE LIKE DNR! LOELOELOLOL), I prefer the utility of the magnum and frag grenades and regen field and dexterity are just boss.

2:

Name: Anti Vehicle
Primary: DMR
Secondary: Plasma Pistol
Grenade: Plasma Grenade
Armor Ability: Jet Pack
Tactical Package: Shielding
Support Package: Ammo

Use: What I use to take down vehicles. Nothing more annoying than out of control Banshee/Gauss Hog. Plasma weapons are a duh, ammo to give me more plasma pistol shots and Jet pack just helps me get those shots off easier.

3:

Use: What I use when running with friends in slayer game modes. I want to replace the Dexterity eventually with the Engineer package when I get it. My friends are better players than I am, and this is the best way to help them. Taking down shields, healing them, finding weapon drops.

4:

Secondary: Assault Rifle
Grenade: Pulse Grenade
Armor Ability: Autosentry
Tactical Package: Firepower
Support Package: Awareness

Use: This is for defending objectives. King of the Hill, Capture the flag, etc. I feel you can keep any objective safe with these weapons. The pulse grenade is useful because people do dumb things around objectives.

5:

Use: This for going after objectives, odd balls, stolen flags, etc.

That’s off the top of my head, I may have changed out Dexterity for something.

PS I see everyone on other subjects complaining about people who use the boltshot and then I one here an a -Yoink- ton of people use it here, I hate that damn gun, and those who use it, especially on regicide >:(

i have had the saem 5 loadout sance i have hit 80(the first three specs i choose because they are actually useful.(operator, networks and rogue)

in slot one is the most balanced one because of the whole black screen reset thing.

i dont use the DMR or the Bolt shot. they are so bad for the game. it is just boring to use them.

i dont use Pulse Grenades either, they are just too useless. i tried to use them in my objective loadout.
