SPOILERS AHEAD
Okay, there are some things I want to say about the new upcoming Halo. In Halo 4, Cortana “split herself” on the Didact’s ship to take the shields down. This could mean that there are multiple Cortanas. Rampant ones too. In Halo 5, she says the ship went into slipspace and landed on Genesis. It is uncertain how many Cortanas there are. Or which one we see in Halo 5. The one we see at the very end of Halo 4 may not be the one we see in Halo 5. It may be one of her Rampant thoughts that she “split” on the Didact’s ship.
Okay, another thing to say. In the Legendary ending of Halo 5, we see a new Halo Ring. Remember in Halo 4, Ivanoff Station? The station on an asteroid that orbited a Halo Ring. When you fight the two Hunters in the lab, right there is the Activation Index to the Halo Ring. Just sitting right there. Neither the Covenant or the Chief take it. It is probably still there. Hopefully the Chief remembers it there in case they need it in Halo 6.
Alright, one more thing to say. In the final mission of Halo 5, when it starts, you ride the gondola surrounded by many Guardians. Exuberant Witness says that the huge Guardian behind the Cryptum is the PENULTIMATE Guardian. Penultimate means second to last. This could mean that there is one Guardian left somewhere out there. When we first see a glimpse of Halo 5, we see Chief in a desert of some sort. He awakens a Guardian, then holds the chip that Cortana was once in. That maybe the final Guardian. It might be on the Chief’s side. It may be how the Chief will stop Cortana.
Please tell me what you think about this. I really enjoy reading your comments. And I’ll admit, I get disappointed when I see no replies in my followed topics. So please tell me if I missed anything or if you need an explanation. Just put anything. A joke or a pun. Something, it gives me something to do.

I believe this is plausible. During Halo: First Strike, Cortana does a similar thing basd on a copying subroutine she uncovered on the Covenant ship she and John captured. Cortana warns the Chief that said copies are increasingly unstable and prone to errors. So if she used the same software at the end of Halo 4, this could turn out to be a thing. At the very least an in-universe excuse for 343’s butcher of her character.

Except that the Halo is mostly useless against the Created… wait, no… you may have a point. The firing of the Halos nearly destroyed the Domain, or at least damaged it very, very much due to it being “organic” in a way. It is Precursor technology, although I don’t remember the exact nature of it, someone please clear that up. However, I don’t think the UNSC would risk committing genocide, even with the activation of “only” a single Ring to stop the Created.

Exuberant Witness merely pointed out that the penultimate Guardian stationed on Genesis had departed the system. The last Guardian leaves as you attempt to recover the Chief’s cryptum.

Thank you for pointing some stuff out. I was thinking and typing at the same time.
