So how you guys wanna unlock armor in Halo Infinite?
Achievements and Challenges (Halo 3)
With Credits (Reach)
Req packs (Halo 5)
Unlocking armor as you rank up or completing Commendations (Halo 4)
Well i personally prefer Reach´s system it was perfect.
I wanna hear your opinions!
Halo 3
And absolutely not halo 5.
Halo 3. I’d settle for reach. Definitely not 5.
- Base Armor - Credit based unlock system. - Attachments - Challenge based system - Special Armor - Community (Featured on ‘343’s Favorites’) and Difficult challenges (LASO, etc) - Armor / Weapon skins - Unlocked via ‘bought as seen’ cosmetic packs.
Sacrilege I know but, I kinda liked Halo 5’s to be honest. Kept me coming back everyday to play a few games and save up for a pack. Just keep it to in game earned credits!
If anything they should bring back the Halo 4 one. It was literally the most perfect way to unlock armor. I literally don’t know why nobody talks about that one. I personally hate the only achievement route of Halo 3 and the grind fest that is halo reach and halo 5.
Maybe a mix of 3 and Reach where you could earn credits to buy base armor pieces but special parts that you can only unlock through challenges. Though I think the unlockable stuff should be crazy like haunted helmet, flaming head, katana. Stuff that stands out and whenever you see people with those pieces you know they worked hard for it

Even though Halo 3: Mythic’s is the best one, I’d still prefer Reach’s. One that’s not too difficult and complexed (Halo 3) nor too easy and takes no skill whatsoever (Halo 5 Guardians), so I’d prefer how Reach’s and Halo 4’s work
Ideally a mix between Halo 3’s and 4’s unlock system. I would compromise with a system exactly like reach’s but you can buy credits. I would absolutely loathe a system like Halo 5’s again.

In fact, ALL game developers need to removed the microtransaction weed from their collective butts. It’ getting annoying.

This is literally a brilliant scheme!!!
Personally I loved the way Halo 3 armor unlockables were but I also loved the credit system from Reach. That grind was great and I loved it. Either those two would be acceptable.
Halo 3 system would be ideal, Halo: Reach system would be pretty good and definitely no lootbox/random system.
As side points, the customization points should be as numerous as in Halo: Reach, hopefully playable elites will return with around same amount of customization points and so on.

Here’s the thing: micro transactions are here to stay in gaming. We’ve had some pushback like with Battlefront 2 but otherwise it’s pretty much in every game. It sucks. So best case scenario I think we get a blend of all those systems. Achievements would unlock some of the more prestigious armor, a credit system could unlock most of the armor available (that’d be great) commendations could unlock maybe skins or armor variants for strutting in multiplayer and REQ packs, if warzone makes a reappearance, could fill in the blanks with weird armors or cool variant styles people wouldn’t mind dropping points into. Or obviously real cash.

I dont know whatn idiot thought microtransactions were a good idea, but they need the -Yoink- beat out of them. Gaming used to be fun, about following a good plot in single player. Now it’s basically gambling.
Can halo infinite have a “rust option”
From 0%-100% making your armour more old,beat up,rusty on each armour piece .
Halo 5 had power ranger colors for armour.
Halo reach did this well.
Imagine making your spartan this beat up, rusty, or fresh like h5 .
I would make my spartan look like he’s 100 year old.Same option with elites
