Lets take Halo 4 Assasinations to the next level.

So first I’d like to start out by saying that if you are in process of assasination and you get “Yoinked” you still get awarded the cR for a kill and one more towards your commendations but the other guy actually gets the in game score count on the kill. Let’s make more of them. I end up doing the same 1 or 2 assasinations all the time. How about this… Make assasinations unlockable. Either after performing so many or after leveling up so high. And you could decide which to use just like you choose your armor.

How about front finishers and back assasinations.

If you have your enemy dead to rights kill if you hold in melee with the death punch you would front assasinate. Not really a long played out assasination but more like a really good uppercut or a quick neck snap.
(Let’s just say the game has rank 25 ranks) (Not the actual 1-50 style but cR style so bare with me…)

Front finishers…
Default: Gunbash - Smash your gun off the side of the enemies skull.
Rank 5: Uppercut - Uppercut the enemy.
Rank 10: Headbutt - Grab the enemies head and headbutt them.
Rank 15: Neck Snap- Twist the neck.
Rank 20: Super Punch - -Yoink- back and punch the enemy dead straight through the visor
Rank 25: Roundhouse - Roundhouse kick the ememy in the side of the head.

Back assasinations…
Default: Neck Stab - stab the enemy in the side of the neck.
Rank 3: Neck Snap - Twist the neck
Rank 8: Assassin - Kick the enemy on the ground and pull out a magnum to assasinate. (Would not need magnum on person)
Rank 13: Neck Slice - Grab the head then slice the neck.
Rank 18: Sparta Kick - Kick the enemy in the spine.
Rank 23: Body slam - Grab the body and slam face first to the ground.

This is just a basic idea of what it would be but what do you guys and gals think?

I think assassinations should be taken out.

Assassinations were Bungie’s version of teabagging.

They were very awesome at first, but they’ve lost their charm by now.

Assassinations should stay. They add to the game plus they are optional. Nothing wrong with that

I thought of something like this to before , They should do this!

I honestly think assassinations are incredibly satisfying. There is just something about getting the jump on somebody that makes you feel good. I for one, think that this idea is great and with a few tweaks, would definitely be awesome to have in Halo 4.

Assassinations are just another gimmick in a gimmicky game. There are times the game gives me an assassination when I know I just barely tapped the RB. It’s just unnecessary.

Kinda like the sound of that. But no front assassinations. It should always stay as an alternative to a back smack.

You clearly didn’t just barely press it though otherwise you would have got a back smack :wink:

Honestly, it doesn’t effect gameplay at all. Back smack is always available. Stop whining.

Agreed, they slow down gameplay and are unnecessary. Getting assasinated is basically giving you a longer respawn time

I agree with removing it for optimisation elsewhere.

Plus, if you want frontal assassinations, all you’ll get is people mysteriously dodging bullets they shouldn’t, and given that that could mean the difference between your mate’s death or survival, that’s a bad idea.

Assassinations are a cool idea, but they have little practical application when the game still has back-smacking. If back-smacking did not exist (just assume for the moment) you would be extremely vulnerable for a while, but get a kill with no resistance. Because the classic back-smack is still in the game, assassinations exist mainly for cosmetic purposes.

Id like to know what Reach you have been playing? Assassinations happen all the time on accident. I dont really care that they are there but but id rather they were a little harder to pull off…like holding 2 buttons or a combo to do it so atleast when you do it…its was intentional

All assisanations should be button combos, it would add some skill to the humiliation

I hate doing assasinations when all i wanted to do was a back smack, button combos would make it so no more accidental assasinations

In my honest opinion.
Assassinations were the only cool/good thing that came out of Reach.
So on a vote, I would vote yes.
Keep Assassinations in, put them in Halo 4, with more creative one’s to do.

Useless, take the assasinations out please.
