So the latest patch has fixed search times and semi fixed CE/2’-Yoink!- reg. But let’s face it, the game is still far from perfect. And in its current form, is still unacceptable for what we where promised. So let’s gather together and make a list of bugs/features the April (Now May) update needs to address.
Bugs:
-
Host can still quit, ending the game early.
-
Even if the host doesn’t prematurely end the game, a lot of players are booted out along side him anyway.
-
Dedicated server connectivity is still a rarity, most games are p2p based. This should be vice versa.
-
Halo 3 uses the default maps, no Sand Tarp Boundless etc. Meaning the old flare/radar jammer exploits are possible. Or in Sandtraps case, people can abuse the elephants in objective based gamemodes.
-
Host still has slightly better hit reg in CE/2
5b. In CE sometimes the host gets the anti aim glitch.
-
Custom Games still on occasion don’t let players change teams and they never allow JIP.
-
Emblems don’t work across all titles, due to the master emblem creator supporting emblems that some games don’t. e.g. H2A having the blast soda can emblem, which no other title has.
-
You can’t kick people who betray in CE.
-
Voice chat still randomly disconnects. Meaning you can’t talk in game. (April update helped, but did not fully fix this issue)
-
Games in CE do not end if the enemy team quits.
-
On map vote, the game will fail to load the map booting all players back to the main menu. Halo 3 seems to be the worst offender for this.
-
All co-op campaigns still have connection issues. This usually results in non host players having input delay.
-
Halo 3 has surround sound issues.
-
Some players are still having issues with long search times. Australian users seem to have this the worst. Could be due to low population count.
-
The H2A playlist suffers from rank reset issues. (April update may have addressed this, awaiting confirmation)
-
People using Kinect as a mic, have their Xbox One audio settings reset every game. (This setting is what turns the game volume down 50%/80% to stop game audio being louder than users speaking)
-
Players are having issues making their lobbies invite only.
-
H2A forge is having stability issues on larger map file sizes, made worse by large parties of players. (To avoid clutter, see TurbTastics post on page 2)
-
Not so much a bug, but bad optimization for campaigns. This results in a low fps count. A quick YouTube search of Digital Foundry will show exactly the issue. Halo 3 yet again seems to be the worst offender, with an average fps of 44.
-
Games starting before all players have connected/loaded. This usually affects one team, allowing the other to get a slight lead in objective modes.
-
Competitive timer in campaign no longer works.
-
After a game finishes, the party leader can be changed to another player in the group.
-
Parties are broke AGAIN. Players are having a hard time joining each other, and even after that can get kicked during searching.
-
Multiplayer achievement progress not tracking every medal/resetting at the end of a session. Dim Mak is the most affected, but Double Trouble, Party Pooper and Domination are having issues too.
Features needed:
-
Ranks (Low population, is there any point now?)
-
Playlists such as Team Doubles, an Objective playlist, Action Sack etc. (Semi being worked on)
-
A party up system after a game ends.
-
A system to penalize quitters. (In place, but pointless due to most playlists not having ranking)
-
A public mass fileshare system like Halo Reach.
-
A larger forge file. Currently users are capped at 50 maps and 50 game types.
-
A population counter for the game and each playlist.
-
Let us mix and match are own armour sets and choose visor colours.
-
Audio options and more video options.
I’m sure I missed some stuff, and I hope you guys contribute your problems and keep this thread alive. It’s gonna be near 6 months since launch by the next patch, and TMCC is still barely functioning. If we stick together and keep a list of issues, 343 can’t turn away thinking everything is fine now. I’ll edit and keep this post updated till it’s no longer needed.
