Lets Kill the MYTH now!

What makes Halo 4 different or the same to any other FPS

Differences

  1. Story
  2. Spartan Ops weekly
  3. Every Bullet counts, to the point where even a mili second delay can cause a death.
  4. Weapons, Items, and Vehicles are not traditional fps weaponry. (Except the UNSC Weapons) There is no Covenant AK 47 for example it is all basically creative.
  5. Maps resemble nothing in the real world
  6. Forge
  7. Team Orientated to that like Counter Strike where to many lone wolfs can hurt the team.
  8. Customizing your player, Both Genders

Similarities

  1. FPS
  2. Death match, and other game types.
  3. Ordinance
  4. Kill Cams/Victory Cam
  5. Stat Tracking
  6. Theater
  7. Custom Games

There are more to be added to both list so list them. Then lets kill the Myth on whether or not Halo is original which I think it is, or whether its stealing from every other shooter and not adding any new features.

Well do you mean original to halo 4 because things like theater, custom games, and stat tracking have been out in halo prior to 4. But if you mean what makes halo 4 diff from others i would say its much more team dependents. Too many lone wolfs will kill any team compared to like cod where you can have a team of lone wolfs and still have a chance.

Well yeah Essentially Halo4 vs other FPS games. Yep I would agree Halo 4 has more weight on working as a team.

I voted yes because of spartan ops

250 different missions 5 a week no one has even dreamed that we would get that type of deal with a video game.
Hell a lot of other companies drop their servers in a year some even less because of cost, that will keep me coming back to halo 4 for a long time. and that was why i chose halo 4 over blkops 2. that and i only play cod for zombies any ways, and that is a mod fest now.
added with halo’s bannhammer and these mini movies that put even square soft to shame and they gave us something that is going to be repeated and soon will be a must have for the next gen. I am really happy about the CGI because it finally shows the console haters out there what the 360 can really do, i know one person who had to eat their words after seeing them. Although he is an Bleephole so i think he will justify it some how with his computer is better with its water cooled blaa blaa, and he built it him self. lolz people like that are funny, he was even bragging to me that he has codes for norton antivirus free for life from working at staples. I told him i did not steal digital stuff, he said it was not stealing and i laughed. End rant.

but yes new ground and a delight been a while sense i felt like i got my moneys worth out of a video game.

I would also say then the customization options you get with your spartan. Other fps that i play you cant really customize your avatar.

> I would also say then the customization options you get with your spartan. Other fps that i play you cant really customize your avatar.

+1 I will give you that

(lol at my 3rd time posting)
Similarities would be sprint and perks.
Difference would be AAs and some unique play lists like grifball (even though we don’t have it yet)
O and ASSASSINATIONS, 10x more beast than they were in reach

Flood mode man! it may some what resemble zombies in CoD (from what i have heard) but now the infected actually look like something different instead of just being a different color… plus… FLOOD CLAW!!! can i just has that as a pickup weapon please?

but anyways. flood mode beats out cods zombies any day

that and infinity slayers ordnance drops. its not killstreaks. you dont get them for staying alive with a killing spree (it helps, but unless you do some really cool stuff with it, it wont fill up your ordnance meter) you get ordnances for doing cool stuff! not just simple kills!

plus the covey and forerunner weaponry and the covey vehicles are just awesome!

also been here since halo 2, but still awesome and original, HIJACKS!

and finally the mantis! the spiritual ressurection of the hornet, but seriously, what other first person shooter has anyone played with a drivable mech in it? i havent!

IMO, these all set halo 4 apart from not only past incarnations, bot every other fps out there! i can think of more, but these stand out the most

Sorry, but this is total BS. All the Halo weaponry is stock FPS material. Some of the guns in Halo have generic alien aesthetics, as do the weapons in many, many other FPS titles. There is nothing that I’d call “creative”.

Nope. Call of Duty’s zombie mode is entirely different. I have zero idea why you or anybody would make that comparison.

Your second paragraph is an opinion, and one that I for one would heartily disagree with. Call of Duty’s zombie mode is a work of gaming genius - the atmosphere and mood created by the effort put into each map’s design and aesthetic, the character quotes, the pack-a-punch and mystery box, the way the backstory is built up through hints and hidden easter eggs… it’s brilliant. Halo’s Flood mode, by comparison, is a gimmicky and shallow multiplayer game mode which has actually managed to be worse than what it’s replacing.

You mean, like Pointstreaks? Those things Call of Duty did before Halo?

Neither of these things are really original or major features, but whatever, glad you like them.

Okay, you’re trolling, aren’t you? Please tell me you’re trolling.

No, for the reasons listed above.

are you one of those people that enjoy just ripping apart peoples perspective on the gaming universe T-T not all of them are new to halo.

but anyways, a lot of the things that aren’t new to halo originated in halo… and seriously, what game have you played that is a FIRST PERSON SHOOTER that has a mech that is usable in multiplayer as well as campaign and isn’t changed at all between the two? i haven’t played any…

all the reasons i posted were my reasons for thinking halo 4 to be original and fresh… now if you would be so kind as to NEVER call me a troll again… that would be greatly appreciated…
