Lets hope we can Install Anniversary maps for Reach From CEA disk

7 maps? but that’s too large! If we’re going to download them, They’ll be around 1.5 gigabytes. Not everyone has a very high speed internet.

You can indead install them from you CEA disk to your hard drive for use in Reach. This was confirmed a few days ago I believe.

You have misunderstood, on the CEA Main Menu, there will be an option for Multiplayer which will take you to a lobby with Matchmaking, Firefight, Custom Games, Forge & Theater but in Reach’s engine.

There is no download required using internet.

Also, they confirmed it is possible to install the CEA Maps to your Hard Drive(once again, no internet required) and play them through Reach as if they were DLC.

I read an article somewhere on destructoid that it just comes with a voucher code.

That sounds really cool.

Nope, it comes on the disk.

I know. I was talking about using them with Halo Reach disk

The Voucher was just pure speculation, probable thought of because Gears of War 2 Game of the Year Edition promised new maps for their multiplayer, but you actually got a voucher that you could use to get dlc maps for free.

I think what the OP is getting at is how large the download will be when the 7 new maps will be released for DLC, for those who didn’t buy CE:A.

I installed the maps on my hard drive, am now playing Reach on Battle Creek.
Cheap friend of mine wants to play online with me without buying his own copy of Reach or CEA.

Can he play the Multiplayer disc and play with me?

Oh coolio. I hope we really can just install them because it probably is a big file.

@ impedimantpedey

Alright, thanks for clarifying.

I think what OP means is without CEA, how is he/she going to download all those maps…

No, he’s asking if he can just simply install the maps instead of stressing his not-so-fast internet with a file that will be very large.
