Let's hope the exchange shop will be in Infinite

For those that don’t know; the Exchange shop is a feature that allows players of MCC to buy season-specific (not battle pass) cosmetics they may have previously missed. You still have to buy these with req points, which you earn by playing the game. 343 already said progression is not going to have any MTX in it, so it would work a near-identical way in Infinite.

I really, REALLY hope this feature comes to Infinite. I’m a major Halo Collector, but unfortunately I don’t have as much time to put into it anymore. Having the option to get previous content that was missed would be a godsend for all players of Halo Infinite, even if it only becomes available again 2+ seasons later. Instead of missing that one S1 skin that you really like, but will never be able to get again.

This is already confirmed that you can go back to previous battle passes if you miss one.

Or wait and buy the ones you want, when you want.

All Battle Pass items won’t be able to be purchased

From what they have said, it sounds like the Battle Pass cosmetics and the Store will be completely seperate. Meaning that you wouldn’t be able to simply buy a higher tier armour, and not put the work in.

The past seasons will always be available to you if you bought them, but you’ll still have to spend point there to gain the higher tiers. Just like MCC.

It sounds like the Store is going to be a bit more like Destiny’s Eververse, containing more exclusive items not available in the Battle Pass. This is where the less canon-friendly items will exist, such as promotional items or cross overs, like a Gears style armour set.

On the whole, I’m fine with them adding complete sets of Battle Pass armours to the Store, but only after a delay, so that those who earned them get to enjoy them for a while. For instance, a top tier armour set from Season 1, shouldn’t be added to the Store until at least Season 3 or 4.

I would 100% agree with this, had they not confirmed that you cannot outright buy something a player has earned, and the way they have announced they are doing battle passes is a heaven sent!

Totally agree with you here.

The battle pass is a one time thing, you buy it once and you have got it for every season, also you have the option to go back and rank up a previous season if you have missed that season, I’m assuming because of this store items and battle pass items are truly separate

I’m really looking forward to the content they put in the store, I’m sure it’ll be fantastic

This should never be a thing. If you want the top tier armor set of a bp, you should buy that pass and grind it. Given they can all be purchased and completed any time after their release, that form of accomplishement never goes away so they should never be able to be outright purchased.

Knowing that they have a traditional battle pass in Halo Infinite instead of the one they put in MCC, I don’t believe we will see the exchange in Halo Infinite. But that doesn’t mean we wont have something similar to it.

I agree. 343i did say that items earned cannot simply be bought. Battle pass items are earned too imo. So hopefully store purchases of battle pass items is not possible.
